Green Leaf Hotel — Hotel in Yangon

The hotel asked for parking fee when I parked my car. I saw an empty space and I parked my car and was going to the bank beside it. The securities run to me and "yelled" at me and asked me 1000 kyats for parking fee. Is that legal at all? And I don't think any of the other hotels in Myanmar ask for parking fee. Of course if they said to me nicely that it's for the hotel guests only, I would understand and I would move my car. But asking money (no matter how much it is) for parking is very low. The management should review their policy!! Bad policy! Bad public relation! Bad...

I stayed in a chalet in the garden for 4 nights. The room was rendered smaller by the presence of a queen-size bed but no problem. It had all the basic amenities but no frills and it was clean and comfortable for 1 person. There was a drains odour from the bathroom from time to time and the A/C was prone to warm up. However, any request for assistance to staff was met with immediate action, including one late at night. This location was not near any tourist areas and was convenient by its proximity to my appointment. In short, value for money...

Thanks to our Yangon-based partner for booking me to a better room this time - with wide glass wall overlooking the main street U Chit Maung. Room 303 is a few steps away from the lift. Across, I could clearly see the shops, including my favorite Grab and Go. ||||The place is accessible, a 12-minute walk would take me to Ocean Mall where I can exchange dollar to kyat, have my grocery, and buy the famous frames made of jade and other precious stones.||||Staff are helpful.
