KK Motel — Hotel in Yangon

Since it seems most hotels in yangon can be quite expensive, this motel is great value! 50USD for a room with twin beds. very spacious. most importantly it is clean and is in an excellent location. it is walking distance to the best Burmese restaurant in town called 'shan yoe yar'. it is less than 10 mins $2 USD taxi drive to the main sight seeing attractions. ||The staff were extremely helpful, allowing me to shower in their staff washroom for no extra charge, after a sweaty day sight seeing and about to board an overnight bus to bagan. in fact I had offers to pay $10 for use of the shower but the owner refused and said 'no, don't worry, we are like family here at this hotel'. The owner also exchanged singapore dollars for me as the same rate as the money changers as opposed to the usual much costlier bank rate.. ||very happy with...

I'm here in Yangon on work, so arrived here (at the motel) not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised by the room I stayed in, it was clean, spacious, modern and had a great wifi connection. Even though the entrance to the motel and the rooms seem a bit cluttered, the rooms are actually clean. The breakfast here is basic, so if you are not up for toast, butter and egg everyday you might need to find a place close by for this. I was told by my local hosts that the food there isn't that great, so I have not tried it yet.||||The staff are very friendly, and helpful. If you need accommodation under 40$, with good food and friendly service, this is your place. It's quite close to the city or accessible, good service, clean rooms with working air conditioning. I have not tried the food much, but the breakfast every day with 2 slices of bread, egg & jam works for me :) ||They also have quite a stable wifi connection, and about 8 rooms I think.
