The Brunch Society — Restaurant in Yangon

The food was good, but the service was poorly managed. I had communicated more than enough, including an in-person visit and follow-up calls and submitted menu choices in advance, exactly as they requested. Still, the dishes arrived very slowly, and the restaurant gave excuses, bringing up a deposit that was never re-discussed after plans clearly changed. Overall, the experience was frustrating and unprofessional. Not what you’d expect after such thorough coordination.

[Update after owner’s response – my second and final note:] I’d like to clarify, as the reply mentioned we only gave “2 hours’ notice.” In fact, communication began in June by phone/viber followed by a personal visit in early July, and confirmation of à la carte dining in mid-July. After that, no deposit was ever mentioned again.

Menu selections were submitted on the morning of the event, exactly as requested. I understand this is not a fast-food restaurant, and I never expected it to be. But to have seniors in the group waiting around 50 minutes for our full order to be completed, with dishes arriving one by one , was truly disappointing, especially after being told the food would be pre-prepared.

After the event, privately, I reached out to share my concerns, but the response only highlighted the “no deposit” point which I found disappointing after so much effort.

I’ve shared this review with sincerity, and I hope future guests receive the care and preparation that was...

We spend in Yangon city for 4days in this week from monday-thursday...So for first day we went to Sule pagoda after that we looking for a nice place for dinner we walk pass a restaurant and bar call The Brunch Society.We try here for dinner,we start with seafood salad and deep fried tofu after that my friend order frie rice with seafood and me had a fettuccine pasta with seafood,So all food here very very delicious...Especially all staff here very very good service good take care for customer.They are so friendly,English was good..So after first time we went here everyday 2 times a day lunch and dinner...I love deep fried tofu very much...Hopefully if i have time i will back there for sure...I love you Yangon city and love you so much *The Brunch Society restaurant and bar.🔙🔜♥♥♥♥♥We miss you already Myanmar..♥♥♥♥♥ Gideon...

The eggs benedict was good. I wish i ordered the original with salmon because I didn't really like the curry. The bread got soggy nearer to the end of the meal. Also ordered waffles with chicken. Didn't like how dry it was. Also the dressing was too thick and had lemongrass taste. Not a good combo at all. The creamed spaghetti was delicious. The avocado coffee float is not recommended because the avocado was chunky and not a smooth consistency. The tables were a bit too far from each other and it didn't...
