Himalayan Vacation Home — Hotel in Kathmandu Metropolitan City

I called the guy 2 days before checking in, I mentioned that the check in time is early (5 AM), he warmly said no problem, welcome! When I showed up, however, I rang the doorbell and called repeatedly for 15 miniutes, no answer. he showed up an hour later saying sorry he was sleeping. Once we went upstairs, he now mentions that the price has gone up +200 rupees per night, because it's tourist season. Something that could've been mentioned beforehand but wasn't. I said "original price or I go", he said "ok go", so I left. Other guests witnessed this and inquired about the situation and he told them that I'm "troublesome"

Well, waiting for over an hour after a long bus ride, only to get slapped by a price markup, I was willing to let it go, but now I gotta write this review to live up to his accusation.

I found a much better option (even cheaper) immediately, without the reeking sewage smell and...

Best hotel ever! I usually never give feedback on places but this is hotel made me to. Clean room, clean toilet, clean and comfortable beds Free water and good wifi. Didn't expected food to be really good and served clean and healthy. Chicken rice was awesome. They were friendly and served me like their family. I will definitely visit the hotel evreytime i visit Kathmandu. Worth every penny. Love...

Плохое расположение, прямо перед зданием вонючая канализация, спальный квартал, грязь и мусор повсюду. Гест хаус новый. Приятный вид с крышы. Комнаты неплохие, светлые и чистые. Постельное белье меняется не часто, я так поняла. Мы ночевали здесь, потом уехали в Илам на 5 дней, вернулись и нам дали ту же комнату с тем же постельным бельём и волосами на подушке. Тем не менее хозяйка говорит “new bed for you” и уносит комплект (чистого) белья. Типо вам можно и на старом спать, чего уж там.. Полотенце и тапочки для душа нужно просить. Горячей воды часто на бывает. Хозяева шумят с 6 утра, не беспокоясь о сне гостей. Еда очень дорогая. 400 рупий за далбат. Наверное самый дорогой далбат, который мы ели за 3 месяца в Непале, и к сожалению далеко не самый хороший.

Я бы сказала норм, если вы ищете отдельную комнату на ночь подешевле (600 рупий). Но оставаться на большее количество дней и пользоваться здешним сервисом я бы не рекомендовала. В Катманду есть...
