Read moreThe hotel is located in Kirtipur about 7km from Kathmandu Durbar Square. You can get easily to the center of Kathmandu by Taxi for about 400-500 RPs (negotiate with the driver until you get to the price).
The hotel is well-kept, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful and we found the food to be very good. One day, we had some problems with hot water in the morning not being available, but I guess this is something that you have to accept if you come to Kathmandu.
Overall our stay (we stayed at the hotel for two weeks) was a very pleasant experience and I can only recommend the place. I went running with Ajaya Singh one morning (he showed me a great 10-12km route which avoids traffic as much as possible).

Read moreWe really enjoyed our stay at this Hotel. The family were so warm and welcoming. The real highlight was when they invited us to share their Tihar Festival ceremony. A large area was marked out with marigolds After we had the Tilak mark annointed - while we squatted - on our forehead we had a bag of goodies to enjoy. Later we sat at the table and enjoyed over 20 delicious curries and potent rice wine, We could not believe the amount of work this family had put into making this season a success. In the evening we walked down to the ancient Temple where nearby there was a gig going on. Nexy day aafter a good nights sleep we were able to enjoy the high panoramic view from the breakfast table.
