I recently had the pleasure of trekking with Essence Treks and Expedition, and it was an unforgettable experience! We opted for the Upper Mustang Trek and were thoroughly impressed with the service from start to finish.

The trek itself was breathtaking, taking us through the mysterious and stunning Mustang Valley with its unique barren landscape. The 10-day trek was well-organized, and our guide, Krishna, was knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive to all our needs. Krishna’s expertise and enthusiasm made the journey even more enjoyable and insightful. The transportation arrangements, including the tourist bus from Kathmandu to Pokhara and the flight to Jomsom, were seamless and added to the overall convenience and enjoyment of the trip.

Additionally, we took a private day tour in Pokhara, which was beautifully arranged. We explored the Annapurna Himalayan range and visited the serene Phewa and Begnash Lakes. Pokhara is indeed a gem, and our guide ensured we experienced its full beauty.

Ajay, the manager, was exceptionally helpful and responsive, ensuring that all our queries and requirements were addressed promptly. His professionalism and dedication to customer satisfaction were evident throughout our interactions.

My partner and I recently booked the ABC trek via Mohare Danda with Essence Tours, Travels and Treks. Ajay was really helpful from the get go, advising us on what to expect and detailing the route. We originally had wanted to go via Poon Hill for sunrise but Ajay’s recommendation was to go to Mohare Danda as it’s lesser known and has a better 360 view - turns out this was 100% true so would really recommend prioritising Mohare! The route still takes you to Poon Hill mid morning after the Mohare Danda sunrise, so you don’t miss out on more views at Poon Hill. Ajay supplied us with recommendations of kit rental shop, and even gave us some basics of his own to borrow which was really kind. Ajay was regularly available to chat in the office and via text in the days prior to us going on the trip which definitely put us at ease and made us feel prepared. Our trek guide was the wonderful Santosh, who was very experienced, knowledgable and laidback making for a very easy going relationship to build while on the trek. Santosh was so enthusiastic and really motivated us on the trek when we needed it. He was supportive and sympathetic too, and really looked after us the whole way not only during the hiking but also at the tea houses. The tea houses we were booked in to really varied which made the experience very rich - all of which were clean, and well equipped. We aren’t overly experienced with trekking at all but we are so glad we set ourselves this challenge and particularly glad we chose Essence with the support of Ajay and Santosh making our trek the experience it was - thank you so much, we’ve made memories...
