We spent 3 weeks here and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were all very helpful and we never felt that we were being pushed into any trips. We went on an all day Jeep safari and saw lots of animals and had a thoroughly good day out although it was freezing cold! (We travelled in January which is one of the best times to the wildlife but bear in mind it can be very cold if the sun doesn't come out all day and it is very cold on a night time and there is no heating in the lodge). Rishie who is the owner and manager was very helpful and very knowledgeable about the area and the wildlife, and an excellent guide on our Jeep safari. The rooms are very spacious and clean but basic which seems to be the norm for this area having stayed at the Jungle Safari lodge in the past. It is located next to the park and is a short walk to the river and main thourghorfare of Saurha. Being so close to the park you do get wild animals coming into the lodge grounds and we were very fortunate to see a rhino a couple of nights, there are also many different species of birds and other mammals to watch while sitting on your balcony. One of the best highlights is going down by the river to watch the elephant's being bathed great fun and the elephants look like they really enjoy getting a good scrub. There is great little restaurant turn left out of the lodge gates and it is about 2 minutes walk the food is really good and very cheap the lady there makes the best Thali I have tasted in all of Nepal proper home cooking it is called Typical Nepali Kitchen. ||The only negatives I have to say about this accommodation is the WiFi is not great but Marc the other manager is looking into that so hopefully that will no longer be an issue in the future also don't get you laundry done through the lodge it costs a fortune and make sure you...

Sometimes it doesn't fit, but this time it did... but we found out just a little later...||Sitting on the balcony we discovered mosquito bites all over. I had 50 bites! Not from the hotel though, but probably from our trek in the bufferzone. Didn't see or felt 1 mosquito there.. so be warned! Take repellent!||We enjoyed our room and the balcony. The bathroom was so so... but fitted with the price. So no complaints about that. We did some laundry, hanged it out on the balcony, did some reading in the sun, a guy from the hotel or someone from around turned up suddenly on our balcony nagging me again about elephant riding.||We went into town for diner and came back after dark. I took my dry wash from the washing line and when I went into the room my husband was busy catching a big big spider, like 5 or 6 cm. It took us 10 minutes to catch it finally and we were really happy that that spider was gone. Now we could sleep peacefully! We thought.... ||Folding my clean clothes I felt that my knickers was a bit wet, which was strange because when we left it was already dry...||so I had a closer look, and discovered some slimey stuff on the inside... I was puzzeled... I washed it, dried it... then I asked my husband: what do you think this is? So we came to the same conclusion: a man from the staff or some other guy around there had the opportunity to come up to our balcony and put his willy in my clothes till he came! ||I have only one advice for tourists and women: stay away from this hotel till they changed the whole male staff for a female staff, unless you like to have some...

Never got to go to crocodile breeding center or do the bird watching. The manager basically told us we could just go watch birds anywhere.||- The jungle walk guide they used didnt really tell us anything about the jungle and seemed more interested in getting the walk over with. The walk was not as long as we were told by both the guide and the hotel as he didnt want to go through some water that both me and the other person on the walk were fine with going through (he even asked about this before the walk and said it would be fine but when we got there he turned us around)||-No warm water in the shower even though we were told there would be||-No A/C even though we were told there would be||-The fan in the room went out along with the power (no backup) so it got really warm in the rooms as it was in the middle of the...
