|Unfortunately I can not write a review to happy lemon tree on Airbnb anymore, so I do it here.||Super rude review we got from the owner: ,,Tobias and Robert were one of our rare guest with whom we did not have best communication. But we hope if one can communicate with them with their own language maybe the best. We not shure about recommending them for everyone.‘‘||I don’t know why he can not act professional. |It was no problem about communication from our side. Dharmik Pariyar was Just to greedy and sad that we only slept there and booked everything else in Chitwan Nationalpark via a Tourist Agency (we never said something different before). This was really clear from the first meeting. His English is really not the best but he was really ignorant, aggressive in his voice if he misunderstood something and rude to us. We were always honest, kind and took time for communication and all other moments (why should we destroy our holidays because of a human?). ||He did not keep his promises. I just give to examples: I said from beginning that I eat vegan. He said to us normally two breakfasts are not included in the payment fee of the room but we can also choose from two others as exception. Next days: we always had to discuss and pay. ||Other problem: I explained what we will do at the Nationalpark and around. We asked if he can recommend something else. While we talked he always said we don‘t understand what he means and repeated. I just said friendly, no we understand but you don‘t. Facial expressions and gesturing were absolutely opposed by him. There was no possibility to missunderstand from us because of his easy using English vocabulary.||I can only recommend the place because the room had a great view and surroundings were really nice (only some default items were missing). | BUT the vibe of the owner is bad and he let his guests feel it. ( I read some reviews from other guests here and it’s the same. Maybe he has a personell problem?)||All other employees, especially the woman who also rents the guesthouse (we think) were always kind and was helping us. We got on well with them!||Never Book this accomodation if you need specials e.g. on birthdays. Also if you need rest, first words of the owner: we have beer, beer and more beer.||Sorry that you feeled that we are bad guests but I / we had never problem with other guesthouses / hotels / persons / et cetera. ||I always adapt to my surroundings and act cleanly. Would like it to be as comfortable as possible for myself and for the person offering the accommodation, even if I am paying for a service as a customer.||We have just one issue: please work professional and not that...
Read moreUntil 5 Minutes ago I was about to write a quiet positive review, but unluckily the Lemon Tree organizing my trip to Pokhara was a really bad experience. I asked the owner the day before to organize a Bus and a TukTuk to the Busstop right in time for me and he confirmed to do both. Unluckily I was not able to find him any more after this to get the confirmation and information, which bus I should get and also after speaking to some of the Hotel Crew members noone was able to help me. So I got up in the morning as planed but there was no TukTuk and it was really stressful to get to the busstop in time with all my luagge. Apart from that I ended up in a bus with no reservation as the Lemon Tree owner never told me which company he had organized (if he had organized any). That was not a problem in the off season but might be one at other times of the year. So I can unluckily absolutely not recommend to rely on the work of the Lemon Tree in organizing your travels.
The location itself is magical and the food really nice (specially coffee and the mueslis), which made my stay. Apart from that I must say that the value for money compared to other places on Sauraha where I stayed before is not too good (usually I would pay less for a room with heating and an attached bathroom). The whole place is not very clever equipped. It is ok, that it is basic, but at the moment there are no hangers anywhere (the room just consist of a bed), so you can just put your stuff on the ground and even the shared shower has no option to but your towel or clothes or anything else anywhere else then on the (usually wet and/or muddy) floor. I was told that those things are missing due to recent floodings so it might be different at other times. Sometimes there seem to be Yoga lessions and open air movies, but both was not the case during my stay. It's worty to know that there is major construction work going on right now, that includes building more accomodation and a biodegradeable swimming pool, so the atmosphere of the place might change soon.
On the positive side everything was always very clean and with a second blanket the nights were warm enough at the end of December, there is free filtered water to avoid plastic bottles, I was able to get breakfast at 06.00am and the bike trip to the 20000 lakes with the Lemon trees associated Guide Ganesh was lovely.
All in all I would consider coming again if I needed a place to hang out in the daytime but not as a base for a longer...
Read moreI had the absolute amazing time staying at the happy lemon tree. The whole place has such a magical atmosphere. The rooms are very basic but and beautiful put together and a really cozy two nights and what you expect for a tree house vibe. The food and coffee were also very good and as tables face out onto the river.
The host dharmik is very friendly and helped arrange a wonderful walking tour into the national park.
I really really wish I could give this place a 5 star but unfortunately the one negative is the staff aren’t very hospitable on many occasions.
First was checking in were I sat around for 10 to 15 Minutes waiting to be checked in to finally shown to my room up a set of bamboo stairs and not offered any assistance with my bag nor did they inform me where the bathroom/ showers were located or given the WiFi password.
2nd occasion they seem to rely heavily on the host when it comes to booking the activities or any services with the common saying the host is out so we will speak to him later. I had asked if they could confirm if my bus had been booked at 8pm at night and I had to insist on them calling him as I was wanting to go to sleep and the member of staff was clearly not happy with my request. Once they confirmed and showed me a picture on their phone and said for me to take a picture had to ask them questions like what time is the bus and how will I get to the station and there was very little information provided.
The last thing I had ordered a small French press coffee (very lovely may I add) but they had ran out of the smaller makers and the staff was asking me to pay 200 more for the larger size which i refused.
In the end I would recommend anyone looking for a chilled break from the city or some R&R after a trek do come and stay but my feedback for Dharmik is to look into training your staff who are working front of house as I would hate for them to paint a negative perception of your beautiful place you...
