I stayed at hotel city center during my visit to Lumbini. Our original plan was to stay for 2 nights. But the service of the hotel was so terrible that we changed the hotel after staying one night.||The hotel guy who showed the rooms was very cunning and rude. He was very unprofessional. He showed us two rooms in their newly built wing - a big one (one double bed and one single bed) and a smaller one(one double bed). He said he will give the rooms at 2500 and 2200 with breakfast respectively. ||We inquired about rooms in the old wing. We had stayed at the old wing while our stay at Bhairawa 4 years back. So we said we will stay at the old wing. I inquired if they had ac in the old wing. He said yes they had ac and offered us Rs 1600 for the room/night. So we checked in to the room. But the ac didn’t work. The toilet spray didn’t work. The flush didnt work properly. ||So I told the hotel staff I wanted to shift to the new wing room. Now he said both the new wing rooms, the small and the big ones were of the same price Rs 2500/ night with breakfast (the very ones which he said had different price in the beginning). So I said if both the rooms had the same price , I will take the bigger room. Then the cunning staff said he will give the smaller room at Rs 2200 without breakfast. I said ok. ||Now this room which looked clean at first was found to be very terrible. The ac and the toilet spray worked fine. It has hot and cold water. But the electric socket was faulty. I tried to charge my mobile and the whole electric socket came out of the wall. Fortunately I didn’t get an electric shock. Also the cupboard of the room was damaged and its door was broken. So I asked the hotel staff to shift us to another room. ||Finally they gave us the bigger room. They charged us Rs2500 without breakfast for the room ( this was the very room which they said they would give at Rs2500 with breakfast) .This bigger room was ok. It was clean. All amenities were working fine. But there was no seat in the toilet commode and the bathroom false ceiling was under construction and unfinished. There was telephone in the room but it was not working when I tried to call the reception. There was no tv in the room. ||But what I am trying to say here is the hotel staff (maybe he was the manager or not I don’t know . He looked like the manager) was unprofessional and tried to trick us into checking into substandard room.||Also the lobby area to the new wing is so narrow and disgusting. Upgrade your services before you try to charge your customers high. And dont be rude to your customers. There are plenty of hotels at bhairawa with better facilities at a competitive price than your hotel. Don’t try to fool and thug your customers.||Never staying at this hotel ever again during my...

Read moreWe stayed in this morgue like place for a night on 27th May 2018 after spending great time in the beautifully maintained hotels of Nepal for twenty days. It was a typical hell in contrast to the comforts and services offered by their Nepali counterparts. The air conditioning was hardwired to throw air at 30 degree temperature even though the panel displays it as 16 degrees. This was to surreptitiously save on the electricity. You would suffocate in that morgue as the AC exudes very slow and light cold air. In fact it is not cold at all! All the rooms are like that. No use complaining. The shower is a sham that throws water everywhere except on your head. Lot of mosquitoes and the repellent cartridge is almost empty. Never ever choose this hotel unless you are a zombie who loves to rot...
