Hotel Yeti, Bhairahawa – A Comfortable and Convenient Stay During my recent visit to Bhairahawa, I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Yeti, and it turned out to be a great decision. Located right in the heart of the city at Devkota Chowk, the hotel offers easy access to everything — from shops and restaurants to Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, which is just about 20 kilometers away.
The hotel itself has a clean and classic look, and the rooms are well-maintained and comfortable. I stayed in a double room that had all the basic amenities I needed — air conditioning, a flat-screen TV, a clean private bathroom, and even a small seating area. The daily housekeeping made sure everything stayed fresh and tidy throughout my stay.
One of the highlights for me was the food. Their on-site restaurant serves up tasty local and continental dishes. I personally enjoyed their Chicken Chilli and Chowmein — full of flavor and served hot. If you’re not in the mood to head downstairs, room service is available too.
The staff at Hotel Yeti deserve a special mention. Everyone I interacted with was warm, polite, and genuinely helpful. The reception is open 24/7, so I never had to worry about getting assistance when I needed it.
They also offer free and secure parking, which is a big plus for travelers with their own vehicles. And if you’re traveling with pets, the hotel is pet-friendly something you don’t often find in this area.
Overall, Hotel Yeti provides excellent value for money, especially if you’re looking for a clean, centrally located, and welcoming place to stay in Bhairahawa. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the region whether for business, pilgrimage, or just a...
Read moreArrived in town expecting to have to stay indefinitely due to a transportation strike which meant the busses to Kathmandu weren’t running. So I checked out a room — and found it to be clean, spacious, with working AC and water. While in the process of checking in (and learning of our dilemma) we were told that a staff person was also trying to get to Kathmandu. There might be evening busses running, but that doesn’t mean the morning busses (which we would prefer) will run — they could still be on strike. It was about noon and we would not know until about 5:30 if the busses were running that night. There was no way for us to find out since the ticket counters were closed due to the strike. Anyway, the gentleman from the hotel made numerous calls on our behalf and even took my husband to the station at 5:30 and helped him by a ticket from the driver. This was a situation that required a far better grasp of the language than we had. During the heat of the day we were told we could sit in the hotel’s air conditioned restaurant. Then to top things off, when we arrived in Kathmandu at 4:30 a.m. this same person (he had taken the same bus) called our hotel and made arrangements with a taxi driver to get us there!
This hotel and gentleman made a great impression on two tired travelers. What a great show of Nepalese...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Yeti hotel and overall, I had a positive experience. The room I stayed in was very good and had a charming old-style furniture that gave it a unique character. I appreciated the effort put into maintaining the traditional decor while still providing modern amenities such as Wi-Fi and air conditioning.
The service staff at the Yeti hotel were excellent. They were always courteous, professional, and went out of their way to ensure my stay was comfortable. The people at the front desk were especially helpful, providing me with information on local attractions and transportation.
However, I must say that the food at the hotel could use some improvement and the quality of some dishes could be improved. I hope the hotel management takes note of this and makes the necessary changes.
Overall, my stay at the Yeti hotel was enjoyable, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-maintained, and charming place to stay. The excellent service provided by the staff more than made up for any shortcomings in the food, and I look forward to staying there again...
