Very friendly owners and great location. However, those are the only good things about the B&B. The building is very old, squeaky floors, there was no toilet in the bathroom (there are shared toilets in the corridor), no elevator and the stairs are tiny so very difficult to get up any larger luggage, the rooms are very very small as well (not enough space for your things or simply to move around). But most importantly, no air conditioning!!! It was extremely hot in the room, there was only a badly functioning fan that didn't help much and you simply couldn't breathe in there.... I couldn't sleep there so spent the night lying on the floor in the corridor where the heat wasn't just that bad (but you couldn't turn the lights off there), and I ended up with a heatstroke and feeling very sick afterwards. Firstly, a perfect location & a minute walk from the centre of Valkenburg. Valkenberg is one of our favourite places with a great atmosphere & excellent food. The hotel is modern, clean & extremely inviting. The room is modern, spacious & we think the best room overall we've stayed in on our trip & we have stayed in some nice 4 star hotels. The small touches, like a mat outside the shower, a place to hang/put your toiletries when in the shower, large mirrors & the bed is huge & extremely comfortable. Only one thing. Super affordable rates for a solo traveler and very happy with price vs quality :) owners were so nice and helped me save money by switching me to a cheaper room after they had a cancellation. they also stored my road bike for the night in their cellar and kept my bag all day while I rode around Limburg. Breakfast was great and glad I booked it. One thing to note is that I was in a room facing the street which was a super great view but on Sunday mornings there is a market for which the vendors start setting up VERY early.
