I had a wonderful stay at Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach, a place that truly impressed me: • Exceptional Location Just 150 meters from the beach, the hotel sits beautifully on the IJmuiden coast, offering direct access to the sea and nature – perfect for a relaxing seaside getaway. • Elegant and Comfortable Rooms Rooms are bright and spacious, decorated in soothing tones with wooden accents. Many feature floor-to-ceiling windows and balconies with breathtaking views of either Lake Kennemermeer or the marina. • Great Wellness Facilities After an active day, the wellness area is the perfect retreat: a sauna, Turkish bath, and fitness center ensure complete relaxation. • Delicious Restaurant and Cozy Bar The Chef’s! Food & Drinks restaurant offers stunning views of the dunes, the North Sea, and the marina. With its open kitchen concept and live cooking, dining becomes a delightful experience. The bar is equally inviting, especially by the fireplace. • Pet-Friendly The hotel welcomes pets , and the location right by the beach makes it ideal for long walks with your dog. • Excellent Service & Guest Satisfaction Many highlight the friendly staff, cleanliness, and outstanding breakfast

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it to others. Here are some highlights of our experience: Staff: The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. From check-in to check-out, they ensured our stay was comfortable and hassle-free. Their warmth and professionalism made us feel right at home. Location: The hotel is situated in a great location, making it easy to explore nearby attractions and amenities. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, the convenient location adds significant value to your stay. Pet-Friendly: One of the standout features of this hotel is that it is dog-friendly. Our furry friend was welcomed with open arms, which made our trip even more enjoyable. It's always a relief to find a place that understands the importance of traveling with pets. Overall, our experience was excellent, and we will definitely be recommending this hotel to friends and family. Thank you for a memorable stay! Recommendation: Highly Recommended

Check-in was quick and easy, a lovely young lady called Ebru assisted in getting me checked in and sorted into a very nice room on the 3rd floor. Very friendly, polite and helpful, exactly what a hotel needs to meet guests on arrival! The room I was allocated was recently renovated and is very nice although there are a couple of very minor points that I will point out as I go along.||Location is ideal for the beach area although a good walk to the nearest major supermarket (around a 9km round trip by foot). View on the side of the hotel I was on was nothing special, out over a lake where they sometimes canoe, the front of the hotel looks out over a marina to the sea.||The room I got was clean and tidy, as I say recently renovated and it looked as such. It was also a decent size. Large bed in the middle of the floor, with a desk that run the width of the bed on the back side of the bed headboard which had a very comfortable chair. There were two wardrobes (one with hanging and one with shelf space). There was a safe on the top shelf of one wardrobe which in my opinion was way too high, I'm not short but it was difficult to use and VERY difficult to check as being empty when leaving. There was a cupboard by the wardrobe with a small fridge, an ice bucket (filled on 1st floor), a small kettle (perfect!!!) and a pod coffee machine. There was also a small table and two chairs next to the window, with a door that opened out onto the balcony outside. ||There were table and chairs on the balcony, but primarily due to weather I never even opened the door out onto the balcony.||There is an air conditioning unit in the room that both cools and (I believe) heats. The problem is that it is by the window and if you close the curtains then this covers the unit, so to get full benefit from it you have to sleep with the curtains open!||I found the bed and pillows exceptionally comfortable, although for me personally the quilt was a little too thick. Ideal for winter maybe, but a little thinner for July would have been better.||The one thing mostly missing in the room is that there is nowhere to put your bag, other than on the floor. Very surprised that there was no folding suitcase stand available. That said, would have made walking around the centrally positioned bed difficult, but of course you could fold it up when finished using it.||The bathroom was nice, plenty of light(s) and mirrors, there was a hair dryer (not used) too. Water temperature was hot enough. Only real complaint about the bathroom is that there was no towel rail. There was a hook on the back of the door but the towel cannot dry like that. I ended up throwing it over the top of the door into the shower to allow to dry.||Food - good range of items available for breakfast. Only thing I was disappointed with is that there was a choice of scrambled or boiled eggs, would have preferred to have sunny side up but there were none out and the kitchen was always empty and so clearly was not an option. No normal sliced bread was available, so you always had to fight with the bread load and bread knife, or have a bread roll. ||Food - eating in the restaurant, which was linked to the bar, was an "ok" experience. The staff were friendly at all times and attentive for the most. Personally I found the food "ok", it varied from adequate to very good depending on the dish (I was there a while so I tried a few). I had no "bad" dish at any time. Biggest disappointment was I tried the chefs meat special, which was a steak - I was not asked how I would like it cooked or given a choice of sauce. Most enjoyable was the rib eye Carpaccio! You MUST have it! Delicious! Whatever you had though I personally found all the prices in the restaurant (food and drink) were a little on the expensive side. Again though, staff were great.||Laundry, there is a laundry facility available, which due to the length of my stay I needed to use, but I thought that it was expensive.||Housekeeping. After the first couple of days (i was working from the desk in my room) I received no room service. I was not told at check-in, nor is there anything telling you in the room (in fact there was NO information about ANYTHING, in the room!) that the rooms are not cleaned daily. As I discovered, you can ASK for them to be cleaned (as long as you ask before 10am!!!) but they say:|| "Our approach to room cleaning prioritizes eco-consciousness without compromising your comfort! You can always enjoy a pristine space anytime by simply requesting cleaning through our app. Cleaning can be requested until 10:00AM on the same day, or, for stays lasting more than three nights, we will clean your room and change your linens automatically every four days"||I had been there 4 night and was on my 5th day and had seen NOBODY (I knew nothing about this message that is only shown on their APP!!!!). I was going to go and ask for the room to be serviced but they came knocking asking if I wanted it and I said YES!!! This was longer than the "three nights" they promised though! When they eventually came, they simply changes the towels (as I saw when I used it, did not clean the bathroom at all), took away the rubbish, and even asked me if I actually wanted the bedding changed! I'd been there 5 days, of course I wanted the bedding changed! They didn't wipe down any no surfaces, as I say did not clean the bathroom, did no dusting/sweeping/vacuuming, just the bare minimum that they could possibly do. VERY disappointing.||It was also a little noisy during the day as they had workers in refurbishing a number of rooms near my room. Didn't start too early or finish too late, and personally it didn't even bother me when they were hard at it, although I have to confess their sometimes shouting to each other along the corridor became irritating and distracting a couple of times||In conclusion, the refurbished rooms are nice, the older rooms not so much. The food can be very good but also disappointing. Staff, especially at the front desk and the bar area are really good, house keeping was exceptionally disappointing. A little on the pricey side but overall I would recommend...

For the price we had to pay, it definitely did not meet expectations. We arrived early, but the rooms weren’t ready yet. Check-in is from 3 PM. When we came back at 6 PM to take a shower before dinner, only one of the two rooms was available. Luckily we asked if they could rebook the second room to one that was available, which was possible. It was weird that they did not think about that themselves.

We assumed we would have a balcony. At the reception we had a conversation about smoking and that it was allowed on the balcony, which we didn't even have. That was really disappointing. There was one, but the door couldn’t be opened. Then we went to take a shower, and the entire bathroom flooded due to a gap between the shower door and the shower tray. In our colleagues’ room, the shower drain was so clogged with hair that the water didn’t drain at all and he had to clean it himself, which is disgusting.

My roommate ended up with a towel that had three holes in it. We went to the reception to ask for a room with a balcony, but that wasn’t possible. She said everyone from our company booking had checked in so she could not switch people. Later when we talked to our colleagues, we found out this wasn't true at all as some did not check in yet. We also reported the towel, but nothing was done about it.

Check-in took 20 minutes, which was far too long and caused us to be late for an activity during our company outing.

There is an air conditioner in the room, but it’s located behind a curtain? That’s really impractical. We had to awkwardly shove the curtain into the windowsill just to feel some airflow. Additionally, the air conditioner is not powerful enough for the space and turns off automatically after a while, so we kept waking up drenched in sweat and had to get out of bed to turn it back on.

All in all, a disappointing stay. Especially for the high price we had to pay...

We recently had the privilege of spending a delightful four-day stay at the Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach, and it was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we checked in, the beautiful coastal setting, coupled with the tranquil ambiance of the hotel, set the stage for an unforgettable getaway.

The rooms were clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully appointed, and the hotel’s location provided stunning views of the surrounding area. Waking up to the serene sights of the sea and winding down with the mesmerizing sunset was truly a treat for the senses.

But what truly stood out during our stay was the excellent service we received from the hotel staff. In particular, I must commend Gyon, who was part of the night staff at the reception. It's the people like him that elevate the hotel experience from merely good to truly great.

Gyon demonstrated an outstanding level of hospitality, professionalism, and attention to detail throughout our stay. His friendly demeanor and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure our comfort made us feel welcomed and valued. Whether we had a request or needed information, Gyon was always ready to assist us, regardless of the hour.

His positive energy was infectious, and his dedication to service made a lasting impression on us. I want to extend our sincere appreciation to Gyon for making our stay a wonderful memory that we will cherish.

To sum up our experience, Leonardo Hotel IJmuiden Seaport Beach provided an exceptional blend of comfort, beauty, and top-notch service that far exceeded our expectations. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for an amazing coastal getaway.

We will definitely be returning in the future and look forward to enjoying more of the superb service and great hospitality that we experienced during our...
