Our room was so clean and spacious. We felt it was homely on arrival. The bed sheets smelled of fresh linen and it was all beautifully laid out. The bed sheets felt very luxurious. The bathroom had a lovely shelf with extra goodies like epsom salts. It wasn't a cold bathroom like many other hotels just made for functionality. It's actually a lovely space you can enjoy while in the bath!

The service was absolutely amazing, we walked in to a beautiful anniversary display, we were given chocolates and a complimentary bath bomb. The owners were so friendly and happy it was an absolute joy when we bumped into them. They brightened our stay even more.

The location is absolutely magnificent, wonderful views. I loved going out to the balcony at night and just listening to the waves crash in. There is something very grounding about it, and we were there to really relax.

We ordered breakfast, and we were treated with the most amazing trays! The croissants were the best I have ever tasted. We both loved eating breakfast on the balcony, sadly the weather didn't hold up the second day but still wonderful to move the table in front of the ranch slider and still enjoy the views with the curtains open.

The shower and the spa bath were wonderful. I suffer from a leg disability so I really enjoyed it. The bath is huge and you can just float there enjoying warm relaxing water. Would I go again? Absolutely! I plan to go there every time we need a break!

My only regret? We forgot to get a box of choccies to thank Sandy and Glen for giving this...

Wow, what an awesome place to stay. Troy answered the phone call and was extremely friendly and booked our night for us. I told him we would be celebrating my mum's 80th birthday so he gave us extra special treatment and we had the best room allocated. I am sure we should have had a unit of lesser pricing but there was no doubt that this was special favour we were given. There was a lovely personal letter of welcome in our unit. Then he, his wife and family turned up in the evening with a lighted candles on a lovely birthday cake. Thank you so much....you made us all feel so welcome and so special. We loved meeting you and even the good bye waving impressed us. If anyone wants spoiling, this place is THE BEST! We would love to come back sometime, and we say that we have NEVER had such a wonderful stay before, though we have travelled a lot. Troy and Tomoko....you are superb in what you do and we wish you every success and blessing in your business. ...

We loved and enjoyed our 2 nights stay at the Whangaparoa Lodge. Sandy gave us a very warm and friendly welcome with a nice hot cupper on arrival. We spend our first night in the Seaview room which we had booked. But we wanted another room with more seaview. Both Glen and Sandy were very quick to accomodate us with our need. They gave us another room called Premium Delux, and we loved it. We booked their breakfast for both mornings we were there. The crassons are daily freshly baked. They were still warm on delivery to our room, with a real butter nob for it. Yummy. Both Breakfasts were personally delivered by Glen and Sandy on our time of choice, and both mornings, we begin our day with a lovely warm smile from them. The rooms are very clean, beds are really comfortable. Glen came to see us off. Our stay at Whangaparoa Lodge was peaceful and relaxing. We’d loved to go back there again. Thanks Glen and Sandy for really caring for your customers. Max...

A really understated name which hides beautifully designed, high quality accomodation fronted by a superbly engaging host. All features were of the highest quality from the wet-room bathroom (with Monsoon Shower of course!) to the comfortable king sized bed, wonderful decor and all the facilities we needed. Literally 1 minute across the road to Little Manly Beach with walkways, views and a swim. Truly, my only disappointment is that we were just passing through so stayed just the one night. Our next visit to the area will definitely be based at Whangaparaoa Lodge. You might see from previous reviews that I rarely give 5 stars, even for the best... so here's a first! Thanks team!

A lovely place to wake up in knowing the beach is not too far from the doorstep. I needed ear plugs and an eye mask as there is little to no sound proofing and the light comes in at all angles from the door and window. Well equipped room & kitchen with all the amenities you might need including a multi plug with USB which I needed! Very comfortable king sized bed which I slept like a dream in. Bathroom & hot drink amenities provided Grout in shower required attention as lots of pink mold which I alerted to the front desk and they assured me it would be cleaned.
