Blue Water Lodge — Hotel in Napier

I've been holding off posting this as I wanted to do so with a calm head. Do not stay here - my father stayed here for emergency accommodation and I honestly partly attribute his death to the stress of dealing with this place. He had no privacy and was harassed by the owners in very disturbing ways. The place is grotty and lacking basic cooking equipment. It's not just in desperate need of a thorough clean, but a renovation! I was interested in the reviews of this place and have also noticed that many asian people have reviewed it with 5 stars, but written nothing. Most likely, these are people the owners (also asian) know. The owners were nice enough, and there were no bed bugs. But that's the only positive thing I have to say...

It's just the people there that made the place nice, apart from that very dirty, super cold in winter, there is basically no heating in the kitchen, bathrooms, etc. One time a woman, a possible buyer of the hostel, just came inside the private room while I was still in bed.
