Me and 2 other adults stayed in a unit with a bedroom. I found my bed fine but the others found the queen bed very hard and they didn't have a good night sleep during our stay. I was impressed with the service of the reception letting us check in after 9pm and the daily service for towels etc. One day the staff even washed our dishes which they didn't need to do.||Sadly though the motel really needed a freshen up decor wise. The shower head either needed a dip in CLR or renewing, as the shower spray was not very good. ||I lost a SD card for my camera and while trying to find it a pair of someone elses socks were found under a bed and lots of foreign crumbs and fluff. The owner was going to recheck and see if the card turns up at the cleaning after I left. I hope it did but haven't heard from them yet. Internet, TV channels, fridge space and crockery supplies were good. A fan would have been nice and I'm sure they would have given us one if we had asked. Good value for...
Read moreThe owners of this place are horrible and rude. Only like to be lovely to “certain” guests, otherwise you get spoken to like your dirt. They cant even handle matters over the phone, disgusting service. Travelled from Wairoa to be with family in hospital. Father booked a room for the night for us, when my partner and son went there they took the key off them and kicked them out. When i rung to discuss the matter the Female owner when i had said “my partner and son just got kicked out im calling to see why this wasnt handled better” all she did was yell and say “well they arent the guests” then left the phone. When i called again the Male owner answered and decided to be smug and say “so what do you want a room tonight or what”. Disgusting behaviour. I can understand that my partner isnt the guest on their system but it did not need to be handled like that. Just rude, ignorant people. But hei aha, look forward to your irrelevant response if...
Read moreThere were 9 of us in our 10pin bowling group and none of us had any issues with Elmore Lodge. We were in walking distance to the bowling centre, it’s a lovely short walk. There are shops which we used often, dairy, hell’s pizza, Chinese and fish shop, the food is great. If you keep walking past these shops there is the Coffee club and the luckiest lotto shop in NZ. I would recommend the Elmore Lodge to anyone, you get free laundry and able to hang your clothes on the line or in the dryer, not many places I’ve stayed at have that. The rooms are serviced every day, we stayed 7 days. Elmore is very clean the beds are excellent so comfortable, perfect. There is no air conditioning but there is a ceiling fan that is so much better, keep us cool at night. All the management and staff are very friendly giving us lots of information, thankyou, we will definitely stay...
