Energy Motor Lodge (Papamoa Motel) — Hotel in North Island

We had a 2 bedroom unit, it was spacious, cooking facilities, nice shower, comfortable beds, a spacious outdoor area with a little clothes line, was perfect to dry our beach towels and clothes overnight. We used the laundry facilites provided, they supplied washing powder and there was no cost to use these laundy facilites. Was a easy drive and few minutes walk to a shopping centre that had supermarket, takeways and shops. A few minutes drive to the beach or about 10 minute walk. We stayed 4 nights and i would stay again and recommend. I found this accommodation less cost than other accommodation providers around Papamoa and yet had everything you would need for 4...

This low budget accommodation is fantastic! The location is great a short walk to the supermarket, many takeaways and the beach. The rooms are pretty good for the price they are spacious, a king size bed a dining table in the fully equipped kitchenette, a decent sized bathroom and a private tidy courtyard. Theres also a laundry on-site that's completely free of charge. The lady running the motel was so lovely and very accommodating, she's also sending a beach towel back to me that I left behind, again free of charge. The only negative I found was the carpets require cleaning, my feet were getting dirty walking on it, still fully recommend this...

Jenny is such a one of a kind host, most emergency housing places treat their guests horribly but not Jenny, she helped me and my girls stay in a safe environment until we found our forever home, she was always so kind, helpful and never judgemental. The units really felt like home and Jenny felt like family, I loved her and my kids loved her so much we were actually sad to leave. Sometimes I drive past and I silently thank her for treating us so wonderfully, when you are homeless and needing a safe place to stay this is your safe haven ❤ Thankyou Jenny, for being the angel we needed at the most scary time...
