Pacific Palms Resort — Hotel in North Island

We have just returned home from a three week stay at the Pacific Palms resort, and are very happy with our experience. |The proprietors, Andy and Nikki, were wonderful to deal with. From the time we started the booking process through to our departure, they were friendly, helpful and patient. |The resort is well located, within very easy walking distance of grocery stores, restaurants, and other shopping. Although we did not make use of it, the bus service to Tauranga and other parts of Papamoa was also close by. |The resort grounds are beautifully landscaped and well appointed. We particularly enjoyed using the picnic area near the heated pool. |Our apartment was spacious and contained everything we needed to live comfortably in our “home away from home”. The living room furniture was a little dated and could have been a bit more comfortable, but we spent more time sitting in our unit (for personal reasons) than would be normal for someone visiting such a beautiful part of the world. |We would recommend the Pacific Palms resort, and would not hesitate to stay there...

It was ok. The appartment was nice. It was extremely disappointing that the managment appartment was next to the appartment we were staying in, multiple times through the evening two different people would poke their heads out of the window and not say anything but just eye ball us siting on the deck and would listen for the noise levels. Once even walking out onto the opposite deck and turning around to go back inside to check the noise. This was happening every 10 or so minutes, It was blatant and rude and extremely uncomfortable. It was my birthday and we had wines on the deck until about 830pm-9pm before heading into town to watch a live performance it was a Saturday evening, There were four of us and we were smokers which was aloud, but we made every attempt to keep quite. No loud music going or nothing....

Had some friends stay here and we came to visit them. I was really surprised at how big the place was, the furniture was in really good condition and the place in general was tidy. The only problem was the noise from children, they were sooo loud. We were just trying to chill and chat while playing a board game and they just would not shut up they ran all over the place stomping their feet and screaming. I honestly got a bit sick of it so I finally said "If you lot don't shut up I'm going to pack you back up in the car and we'll go home" it didn't work and I ended up taking my kids back home and my friend enjoyed the rest of their stay. The pool looked really cool too 😎...
