Highview Retreat — Hotel in South Island

We could not rate this home highly enough. Firstly, the owners are extremely accomodating. I had arranged for a surprise to be on each bed for when our family arrived and Matt was more than happy to help out and accomodate. Any questions we had, including extending our booking and holding our luggage, were answered swiftly and with the warmest empathy and understanding. We would stay here again purely for the owners. However, the house is AMAZING. 13 of us stayed here and we not once felt like we were on top of each other. Each day we all woke with a stunning view of Queenstown. The house feels both homey and modern and extremely clean. There are heaters everywhere, including heated floors in the bathroom (which we all miss now we are home!!). The driveway is tucked away so we always felt safe and secure. We all had the best holiday and it would not have been the same if we had not stayed at Highview Retreat!!!!! Thank you thank you...

What a special place to stay, the definite highlight of our visit to Queenstown. Each morning we woke up to astonishing panoramic views of Queenstown, Lake Wakatipu and the surrounding mountains. Soaking up the views from the spa outside after a day's exploration was just brilliant. The house is very spacious and well appointed with full modern amenities to cater for large groups. 100% recommend Highview Retreat - we stayed for a week and it was such a great location to base our trip in the Queenstown area. Easy access to central Queenstown via the backstreets (with no queues), Arrowtown, Queenstown Central shops.

Absolutely LOVED the view from my bedroom - it looked straight out over Lake Wakatipu to the mountains / devils staircase and could see (but not hear) the planes taking off. Absolutely stunning!
