Parkside Motel — Hotel in South Island

Great stay at the parkside motel. Very friendly staff.

All the amenities yiu could hope for in the room. Sky TV (all beit the TV is small), kitchenette with all you need (two small glass hobbs with all the cooking utensils you would need, cups, plates, microwave, kettle and toaster), air conditioning. Water from the tap tasted nice. The bathroom had good shower water pressure. There is good parking options.

The kids really enjoyed the pool.

Close to Richmond mall for the supermarket. We got inflatable pool toys for the kids at the kmart.

The only drawback is that the motel is on a busy street and the windows do not appear to be double glazed so you will hear street noise if yiu are a...

The Parkside Motel is an absolute credit to Alasdair, Elaine and family.

Since taking over last October they have scrubbed the place to within an inch of it's life so for us, it is just like coming home. The grounds are always immaculate and nothing is ever a problem. For us it is a joy and a pleasure to return when we visit from Darfield.

And being passionate about "saving the planet", making the world a better place, we welcome the opportunity to hang our washing out on an outdoors clothes line.

I've stayed at this property several times while in the area on business, in several different rooms. The motel is always spotlessly clean and the owners are very friendly. Reasonably priced with a well appointed kitchen that has pretty much everything you need to make a meal. Also a generous cooked breakfast option available which is handy as the motel is about a 10-15 minute walk to the town centre. On a very busy road but it is quiet overnight and I rarely hear any traffic noise during the evenings or at night. Highly...
