DownTown Lagos Hotel Ikeja — Hotel in Ikeja

Well all I can say is have an open mind when checking into DownTown Hotel. Apparently there's a branch at G.R.A Ikeja which seems to be the HQ, I happened to visit the annex at Dipeolu street Ikeja off Awolowo way by Allen Bus stop.

The annex from my observation is not strictly supervised, the rooms are ok but the management needs to step on housekeeping. The porters are not well trained, the towels and sheets are not so neatly kept. The TV screen is bad and no one made an effort to apologise or get it changed. The only catch would be of you want to stay away from the noise of Ikeja town then here can give you...

I don't like the service I got here, too poor and I can't even recommend a friend for it expect as last alternative. AC in the room but no working, very poor ventilation. Poor toilet maintenance.

A single room ( 106 ) of N14,900 can't be compared to another single room I lodged in Abuja for N10,000 and even N6,000 at Arab road, kubwa. DownTown Lagos no try at all. I believe the management should have done better with your location, few minutes drive to airport, also situated close to airport hotel.

Pretty decent place. Rooms are clean, the food is good and not too pricey and the drinks are ice cold always.

The service is not super-professional, the TVs are old and do not support playing movies from a flash drive, so forget about bringing your own movies.
