I had the pleasure of dining at a restaurant that not only showcased the vibrant flavors of African cuisine but also immersed me in a stunning ambiance inspired by African decor. This hidden gem exceeded my expectations on every level.

As I entered the restaurant, I was immediately captivated by the beautiful African-inspired decor. The walls were adorned with colorful masks and tribal art, It truly felt like stepping into a different world, embracing the rich cultural heritage of Africa.

The menu was a true reflection of the diverse and delectable flavors of the continent. The food was impeccably prepared, with generous portions and bold, authentic flavors that left me wanting more.

To complement the fantastic food, the drink menu included a variety of African-inspired beverages, including the traditional palm wine. Sipping on a glass of palm wine added a unique touch to the experience, and I appreciated the opportunity to indulge in such a traditional African drink.

The ambiance of the restaurant further enhanced the dining experience. Soft African music played in the background, creating a soothing and immersive atmosphere. The dim lighting and intimate seating arrangements added a sense of coziness, making it the perfect place to relax and savor the meal.

The service was attentive and knowledgeable, with the staff offering recommendations and ensuring a seamless dining experience. Their warm hospitality added to the overall charm of the restaurant.

The only issue I had was the cost of the takeaway packs. I had to pay N1200 for a pack and the most affordable one they had was N600. I believe there are affordable options that can be looked into.

In conclusion, my experience at this African-inspired restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience filled with great food, delicious drinks, and an...

I was looking forward to visiting this place so much, cos I’d seen a lot about it on IG. But it didn’t live up to expectation at all.

I’ll talk about the good (ish) first: I like Kunle Afolayan’s original African vibe, and they tried to inject a lot of that into the place. The waiters were all dressed in Ankara, food served in wooden dishes, menu a fusion of contemporary + traditional, decor very quirky plus a lot of Yoruba influences.

But all these elements didn’t come together seamlessly enough. They were going for something they didn’t quite nail: there was a seating section that was a literal jagged bathtub covered in rust. The music was old timey and way too loud, and they wouldn’t reduce the volume.

The restaurant place stank and was full of bugs, mostly cause it was right near a swamp area full of industrial waste (there’s a factory nearby). Overall not the most hygienic location for a restaurant.

I got amala and ewedu, and although it was really good (which is saying something, I’m an amala connoisseur), I felt it was overpriced.

I’d finished my meal before I discovered another eating area downstairs, so this review is only based on my...

I absolutely enjoyed my time here.

Food: The food was really good 👍. I liked that the menu was traditional and international at the same time. Food portions were really great, I'd advice you to go there really hungry 😋 (P.S: You can also order before you get there to reduce your waiting time, you'll just have to make a down payment)

Customer service: This was really great, someone attends to you almost immediately you're seated and they let you know how long to wait for the food. If you want an extra attentive person, ask for Bukola (she was soo nice, took her time to go over the menu and let us know what we could get from the kitchen. She didn't act like we were a bother at all the multiple times we had to call her)

Ambience: The place was really nice, the decor was African and well thought out. I absolutely loved all their recycled piece of furniture too. There's also a cinema in the building, so be sure to check that out (Pro: you can get food from the bar and take into the cinema!!!!)

Price: The prices were very affordable 👌, and they already included the VAT in the prices so you won't be charged for that separately.

Overall, it is a...
