Qurum Beach Hotel — Hotel in Muscat

I have unfortunately stayed here on 27 to 29.2.2019 and will NEVER come here again !||Absolutely not recommendable.||This accommodation is NOT as it is advertised: " in a diet residential are . . . "||I had booked the 3 bedroom suite as I was travelling with my elderly 82 year old mother who just arrived this morning on an international flight without sleep all night. ||The intention was to have a spacious, comfortable and save environment upon her arrival in Muscst / Oman. ||Initially the location was ok / a bit grotty though . . . ||Suddenly around midnight we were rudely woken up by an extremely loud discotheque right below the bedroom window ! Starts at 11.30 pm and blasts until 3 am ! This was supposed to be a quiet residential neighbourhood as it was advertised ! ||Also : - toilet seat fell off / unsecured - powerpoint for bedroom table light broken in half and electrical wire exposed - that is very dangerous.||Cockroaches in fridge, extremely noisy air condition as also mentioned by others - ||A/C equipment right outside bedroom windows. ||After insisting we got a quiet room to the back : - half size - no, or only tiny window - no daylight - a coffin within a thomb . . . ||Breakfast buffet in a stinky windowless room : ( smell of overcooked food in the morning really puts one right off ! ) - cold, aged toast out of a timber box / chiccken food ? + cold scrambled eggs ! - cold beans / meshed - yak ! - cold mushrooms - cold and burnt tomatoes - some budget juice out of a cardboard container / more water than tastet ! ||I demanded a refund for the inconvenience and the half sized room on the second night but this was declined. I was only offered an other stay at a reduced 25 % complaint pending -||Why would I ever go back to this dump of a place to take advantage of a promised discount for a further disappointment . . . ???||AVOID !||Any...

The hotel is like a horror show. Employers blowing their noses on the floor, bad smell, everything is old and very very very dirty, there's a nightclub downstairs that works every single night, no one talks to you about anything, not even when you check out. They gave us 4 keys that opened other 4 apartments. There was a pack of rotten bread inside one of our drawers and that was the only thing that got us moved to a better room which had gum in the shower. Nobody cleans the room while you're there (or before, I dare say). Not even toilet paper is replaced. Thr paid breakfast is a joke, 4 pieces of toast with pineapple jam and a cup of coffee. A total nightmare. We just stayed there because we couldn't find anything so last minute. Booking should remove this hotel from their listing and compensate anyone who stays...

Muscat è formata da più città e difficilmente visitabile senza un mezzo proprio. A Muscat non esiste un'offerta alberghiera di medio livello, i nostri 2 e 3 stelle per capirci. Esistono strutture top e topaie per estremizzare. Di conseguenza per il prezzo di un albergo di categoria media europea quello che probabilmente otterrete è un servizio da 1 stella. Rapporto qualità prezzo piuttosto basso per chi ha un budget medio.||La struttura del Qurum Beach hotel è datata, si trova in buona posizione vicino alla spiaggia e alla passeggiata sul mare nel distretto di Qurum, Disposizione delle stanze particolare, grandi, arredamento vecchio che non disturba se non fosse per i bagni, delle cabine ricavate nella stanza da letto che assomigliano ai bagni unit dei business hotel giapponesi, senza averne il confort. Molto, ma molto basic.||La stanza dispone di frigo, ventola e aria condizionata. Le finestre ci sono ma danno su un micro balcone schermato da una tipica intelaiatura araba, di quelle che schermano la luce e garantiscono la privacy di chi ci vive. ||Wi fi gratuito e funzionante (anche se a volte ad intermittenza) nelle stanze ma non nelle zone comuni. ||Se ci fossimo fermati qui, e cioè all'arredamento basic avrei dato al Qurum anche un "nella media" o quasi buono, ma il vero problema del Qurum è altrove. Nella colazione e nella pulizia delle stanze.||La pulizia delle stanze non esiste, Nel senso che se non espressamente richiesta non viene fatta, come se l'albergo fosse un bed and breakfast. Ma questa sembra sia una caratteristica degli alberghi di media categoria in Oman, perchè anche a Bahla abbiamo notato lo stesso. ||Ma la vera sorpresa sta nella colazione, che praticamente non esiste e consiste in :||un piatto salato (che a volte è un omelette, altre fagioli al sugo) e un cestino con il pane in cassetta bianco da tostare con il relativo burro e marmellata confezionati. Basta. Niente frutta, ne' biscotti secchi, ne' tutto il resto Niente di niente. Imbarazzante e completamente inadeguato visto che in Oman l'offerta di cibo è enorme ed estremamente economica e visto l'alto numero di ospiti occidentali di questo hotel ribattezzato Bed and bread :) ||Giudizio complessivamente scarso per i 30 rial a notte pagati.
