We went to Crowne Plaza yesterday and tried the Iranian restaurant called Shiraz. What a treat it was!
We ordered the mixed kebab plate, which came with 2 kobedeh, 2 delicious lamb chops, and 2 chicken skewers. Along with that, we ordered two types of rice—one with saffron and pomegranate, and the other was green rice with herbs. Both were absolutely amazing! We also had the cucumber and pomegranate salad, which was really refreshing.
The dinner started with a delicious tray of fresh bread, yogurt sauce, and salad with walnuts and feta cheese cubes. Honestly, even the starters are something I know I’ll be craving again.
Now, about the ambiance: the restaurant has both indoor and outdoor seating, and each has its own charm. We sat indoors this time, and the place is very tastefully decorated with Iranian touches—beautiful wall hangings, nice curtain drapes, and even an indoor bread oven that adds to the character. We sat near the window and could see the view outside.
The outdoor seating is perfect for cooler winter nights, with a beautiful view of the sea, beach, mountains, and the famous “Love Road.” Since the restaurant is set a little higher up, almost terrace-style, the view and lighting make the whole place feel romantic and full of character.
A special mention to the restaurant supervisor and manager, who were both very warm and welcoming. They kept checking on us to make sure everything was perfect and that we were enjoying our evening. A heartfelt thank you to Mr. Salvin for his extra care and for capturing such lovely photographs with the right angles—memories we’ll truly cherish from this dinner.
Crowne Plaza never disappoints, and Shiraz was no exception. I am definitely going back soon and would highly recommend this restaurant—you won’t be...
Read moreThe only thing saving this restaurant is the outdoor seating. The place itself is amazing but unfortunately the food is very bad as always. For a time they improved but now they're back to bad food.
The kabab is so tough and heavy full of butter. Every dish is floating on top of a thick layer of oil. And it doesn't even taste good. You pay so much they should at least be able to hire a good chef.
I've had better, paid less with delivery at home with far better...
Read moreI hate hotel restaurants because with a very few exceptions the food is always (maybe with the exception of Dubai hotels) mediocre at best. We came here because of the good reviews but I was very sceptical since the hotel is located inside a hotel. Unfortunately I was right. Service very impersonal, staff without passion, food ok, nothing to write home about. First...
