Rock Bottom Cafe Muscat — Restaurant in Muscat

The only thing keeping this place alive is the alcohol We went in for a drink, the Web said they were open, the reception said they were serving drinks and the happy hour sign said 12pm to 2pm.....however when we entered the bar, we were informed no drinks until after 2pm?

So everyone else didn't know the timings, but not a great start. We left and went to the beach to return at 4pm for a drink and food.

The bar an didn't know what the menu items were and after asking the chef he came back and said they were out of stock. The not a great start.

We ordered the seafood mix and some onion rings to share, the food took 20 minutes which was a surprise as we were the only ones there and the microwave was being used extensively but still the food came out cold, yes cold like rubber and tasteless

Recommendation Go to the crowne plaza up the road sane prices...

Honest to god i had the best experience in Muscat’s Rock bottom restaurant and normally im not a huge fan of writing reviews but i had to thank all the staff for their hard work , Specially the person who took care of our table i made sure i remembered him ( SOURAV ) ! Sourav did a terrific job he oozes good vibes and his smile is contagious! delivers food and drinks in a timely manner and i also wanted to thank the supervisor (Prasad ) who stood most of the time exactly near our table and made sure of our safety and the quality of services as he did for others, they simply made our night . Very disappointed of their food. Really, T-bone steak so dry and hard, dificult to cut, imposible to chew and covered with some awful testing blackish sauce on top. Quality below zero. Asked for replacement - was denied. Manager didn't even bother to come and talk with us. Sautéed mashroom fool of garlic, which isn't good at all. Basically, left without eating anything but end up paying it all. Don't recommend to eat here. Also, a cockroach crawled out of the salt/pepper wooden box on the table.
