Coiba House - Oceanfront accommodation in Santa Catalina, Panama — Hotel in Hicaco

Couldn't ask for a better location in Santa Catalina! Close to restaurants, grocery stores and dive/snorkel shops, but in a very quiet location. The beach is just a few steps away down a private (but a bit steep) path. The view from the terrace is spectacular! There are three rooms with a shared bathroom, but the toilet and shower are in different rooms so very easy to share. The terrace is an amazing spot to relax and enjoy the view. We had booked two of the rooms and got along really well with the person in the third room, so sharing the space was not a problem. We also liked sharing the space with some friendly cats.|The rooms had air conditioning and a fan so were comfortable for sleeping (but both were needed because it was HOT). The shower had warm water and great water pressure. The wifi worked well.|Darcy is super friendly and helpful and gave us advice on places to eat and even made a dinner reservation for us. His son, Moises, arranged a fishing trip for us and cleaned the fish that we caught so we could cook it in the kitchen on the beautiful terrace! I highly recommend...

Where do I start? I cannot say enough good things about our recent stay at Coiba Guest House. The view is so amazing. Looking over the water as the sun set every night was good for the soul. The rooms are adorable and very clean. Listening to the waves crashing on the sand gave me a better sleep but then I have had in ages.||||Even though I am on holidays I have work I need to be doing and email I need to check on. Coibahouse has the best Wi-Fi in all of Santa Catalina.|||| Darcy was an amazing host. Extremely friendly and attentive. He gave us lots of advice on where to go and what to do in Santa Catalina. We greatly enjoyed our time spent visiting with him.||||The common area that overlooks the ocean is well-designed. It makes it easy to meet people but leaves you lots of space to go do work on your own when you need to.||||Having only three rooms made it feel cozy and personal.
