We have just stayed for 4 nights and Hotel Iguanito in Santa Catalina and highly recommend this lovely place. The welcome drink after a 8 hour bus journey from Panama City was greatly appreciated. The couple who own the hotel, Juan and Chris, are lovely people, very welcoming and speak excellent Spanish. English, French and German so communication was very easy. The room was very clean and spacious with excellent air conditioning and good WiFi. There is a lovely terrace to relax and a very good restaurant and bar area. Juan is an excellent chef and has a passion for cooking. We had dinner there twice and both meals were excellent, and a wide variety of choices. The best in Santa Catalina. Fantastic breakfast too. They can also fix trips including diving trips, transport and laundry, and are more than happy to help with anything you need. I cannot recommend this place...

I would not recommend this hotel for people with mobility or balance issues, because there are quite a few steps to get up to their 4 rooms upstairs and not always rails to hold onto. The shower water was not warm enough for my tastes and you will need to bring your own shampoo. Nevertheless, the owners, Juan and Chris are super sweet and accommodating…so was Reina who worked there! The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance shops, restaurants and...
