La Chamba Hostel was the perfect base for my stay in Santa Catalina. The cabinet-style beds are a brilliant touch — they offer just the right amount of privacy, even in a shared room, and make the space feel more comfortable and personal.
There are plenty of bathrooms and showers, so you never have to wait, which is a small but seriously appreciated detail in hostel life. The entire place feels thoughtfully designed for travelers.
The staff? Super friendly and helpful — always available to answer questions, give recommendations, or just share a good conversation.

It’s close to all shops and restaurants but it’s quite a walk to the beach. Anyways I didn’t mind too much. I really liked the dorm with little coves. However you can see that the hostel just opened. Read moreI planned to stay at la chamba for two days and ended up staying fife. Ninon and her team are great and helped wherever they could. I stayed in the dorm which was really comfortable. You get separate compartments where you have enough space to store your stuff. They have enough clean and big showers and toilets. The kitchen is big and well equipped. You have the option to cook alone or with the other guests. The vibe at la chamba was great and everybody was really nice! Would recommend...
