This is a supremely comfortable place with gorgeous gardens and mountain views. Quite the quality for the price!
We booked one night prior to driving to Bocas del Toro and loved it so much we returned for an additional two nights on our way back.
On our first visit we had a cabana then opted for a suite with a hammock on the balcony when we returned. Both were luxuriously comfortable and relaxing.
The kingsize beds were extremely comfy, the kitchens had everything we needed, the sofa in the suite was my cozy spot to have coffee and watch the rain outside our giant second floor window. The bathrooms were large and spotless, the towels were plush and the body wash smelled terrific.
Because of the rain I only got to enjoy the hammock for a brief time but it was lovely none the less. The view and ambiance were serene and rejuvenating from inside as well as outside. The frogs and birds were a pleasant accompaniment to both the rain and the quiet.
And I can't forget the staff. Everyone was extremely friendly, helpful, efficient, and spoke great English.

Read moreTerrible experience. I was charged an EXTRA $72 for a cleaning service for a “stained” towel and sheet I went because a friend recommended the place, within his policy you cannot wear shoes in the room, however, the floor was extremely dirty, as was the balcony. Of the 4 days I spent, they only cleaned 1 day and they did not clean the entire room, they only changed towels. They do not have a breakfast service, only coffee and a couple of cakes that, in my opinion, are expensive. The rooms have no privacy as you can hear between rooms, additionally 1 of the 3 nights I stayed I was listening to a child crying all night. The trash can in the room was broken and full of rust. The small parking lot made me uncomfortable. The doors to go out to the balcony are in poor condition and complicated to open and close. They charge 7% but do not give invoices, until I had to request it by WhatsApp after...
Read moreRio Verde is a small, quiet, off-the-beaten track hotel a few minutes drive outside of Boquete. The room we were in was spacious and the small kitchenette was remarkably well equipped. The bathroom was large and the shower was huge with plenty of hot water and a great showerhead. There was a small balcony equipped with a hammock and some chairs and a small table where we enjoyed wine on the two evenings we stayed there. The balcony overlooks the rear grounds of the property as well as the small river that flows by. Unfortunately, the bed and the couch were too firm for our tastes but your results may vary. While the staff are very friendly and helpful, the hotel's rules are a bit over-the-top (e.g. no shoes in the room despite it being a tiled floor; make sure all glassware is washed and put away before checking out). All in all, this property is a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of...
