We arrived to Arequipa in middle of the city's anniversary (August 15th) and as we should imagine, there were no rooms available in many places. ||After a while, we got to the Sideral hotel and took a triple room available. The hotel was clean and recently renewed. Our room was big enough for three single beds and had no carpet but ceramic floor, which is a good thing since I develop an allergic reaction to dusty places. Besides it had very convinient prices. The night at the triple room cost us s/.120.00 (including parking). No opinion about the food service because we didn't have breakfast at the hotel (which was included) as we wanted to enjoy some typical food out there. ||The place itself was nice within a centric location. The service was the lacking point. The staff should be more attentive, but we don't regret...
Read moreI had to go to Arequipa, for Perumin 2015, a mining trade show, and this was the only hotel with vacancy that I found. It is reasonably clean, with bare-minimum comfort. As far as low-cost goes, there is nothing low-cost in Arequipa, every two years, during that event. Still, mine was the lousiest, most-expensive, USD 80.00-per-night, 1-star, hotel room that I have ever stayed at. Be prepared to wait at least 15 minutes, before the hot water starts coming out of the shower head. Breakfast is poor. The coffee is horrible and undrinkable. The short walk to Starbucks, at Calle Mercaderes, is a must, for those who need coffee, like me, to be able to even start thinking, in the morning. Éramos una delegación de las de 15 personas incluyendo niños, tuvimos un viaje largo y agotador y cuando llegamos al lugar no había habitacion para nosotros, la recepcionista no nos dio ninguna solución, llamaba y llamaba por teléfono, ella decía que había cancelado pero nosotros jamás recibimos ningun mensaje por parte de Booking el cual un día anterior a nuestra llegada ya nos había avisado que estuviésemos listo para nuestro viaje. Poco profesionalismo por parte de las personas del hotel, en el computador nisiquiera podía ingresar a su cuenta en Booking. Com, entonces como fue posible si ella dijo que había cancelado?
