I stayed here for three nights, having made my reservation through booking.com – a couple of nights longer than most people would stay, but with plenty in town to fill my time!||||The staff were friendly and helpful -- but they only speak Spanish. We muddled along in my broken Spanish and everything turned out okay :)||||My room was bright, colourful and clean – the bathroom also. The shower was hot (more so in the evenings) with good water pressure. Very cosy, comfortable bed. Bathroom not as horrifically small as some reviews here suggest – in fact, I found there to be plenty of room!||||Safe hotel, good location. ||||Negatives?||||The room was a bit stuffy and warm -- but there was a fan so that helped! The only problem was that the fan was VERY noisy and I couldn’t sleep with it on.||||Nice to have a TV for a change, especially when it’s super hot out (as it is in Nazca!) and you want to relax in your room -- but there are only one or two channels in English.||||Wifi didn't always work in the room and on most mornings it wouldn't work at all until I spoke with the owners to reset it. Sometimes this took over an hour or so.||||Breakfast was included in the room rate, but I always had to hunt someone down to ask for breakfast each morning. Sometimes it took me awhile to find anyone in the hotel, and then once found, breakfast could take up to 20 minutes to be served. By the third morning of my stay I gave up asking and went out into the town to find my own breakfast.||||Whilst the hotel is in a quiet part of town, the hotel itself is not that quiet. I was woken in the middle of the night each night, and then again early every morning, by a rooster on the roof, together with numerous dogs barking. I also found the hotel quite "echo-ey" at night, with the family who own it running around (they have several young children) and eating late in the area directly above my room. The hotel was particularly loud on the second night of my stay, with other guests up and about, TVs turned up loud, and people talking loudly outside my room until about 2am. I could also hear everything in the room above mine (heavy footsteps etc) and on the main stairs right outside my room. Needless to say, I did not have the best nights’ sleep whilst I was there. To avoid this constant late night and early morning noise, ask for a room away from the main stairwell, and perhaps even on the ground floor.||||My room was not cleaned on the first day I was there – this was not a huge problem -- but then I had to ask for it to be cleaned on the second day. I went out for most of the day, but upon my return the room had not been cleaned (I find this a big issue, especially with the bathroom trash cans which really should be emptied daily). I was not overly impressed and asked for the room to please be cleaned, only to be told the cleaning lady had already gone home for the day. The staff did kindly offer for me to change rooms, but that seemed a bit excessive with only one night remaining in my stay, so I asked for someone to please change my towels and empty the trash -- which they did. Interestingly, that same night I heard (and smelt!) some serious cleaning going on in other rooms between about 7.30pm and 10.30pm -- by the very pregnant wife of the hotel's owner. Interesting!||||Overall, very good value for money – but I would only stay here again if I could get a...
Read moreLocation: The hotel has a good and safe location. It is two blocks from the main square, restaurants, shops and the market.||||Room: The room we stayed at was very small, basic, and outdated. It had a full-size, uncomfortable bed. There was NO hot water in the bathroom. ||||Staff: The staff was nice and helpful, though they spoke very limited English. ||||Other services (breakfast, wifi, storing luggage): The complementary breakfast was adequate. The wifi service was slow and intermittent (worked better in the lobby). We could store our luggage in the reception area after the check-out time for free. ||||Overall: You get what you pay for. Looking back, I would rather spend a bit more money to stay in a more...
