Hotel Tarapoto Inn — Hotel in Tarapoto

We stayed four days in this hotel. The place is well situated, half a square from the main quare 'Plaza de Armas'. The hotel is quite clean, the room was ok, small cupboard with a table, two beds, a small bathroom. We took AC room as the room was oriented towards the street and though full sun. AC worked well. The highly promoted warm water did not work for 3 days out of four and everytime we told it to the receptionist, they answered 'ok, we are going to fix it until you are back'. when we came back the answer was 'it's fixed', but it wasn't until we ask for reimbursement. The Wifi was always very week, and on day 3 disappeared completly. The managers did not even realise and did not fix it as we asked for. Breakfast is served from 7.30 am on, it is very small. No way you can get something earlier when you have to leave earlier, although it is included in the price and therefore paid. We don't recommend this place, it is far too expensive for the service delivered and people are not honnest,...

Making a reservation was a pain. I called about 4 days before getting to Tarapoto and they asked me to send an e-mail. Nobody replied so I had to call again and they finally responded my first e-mail but didn't confirm my reservation so I had to call one more time (hours before arriving) and they still didn't have my reservation but they did have rooms available so we took them. The service was good once we got to the hotel, friendly and helpful staff. The rooms were a different story. My partner's room had a noisy A/C, an uncomfortable bed, and he found hair in the sheets, so he had to change rooms. My room didn't have any hot water but it was clean and the A/C was fine so I chose to stay. The only good thing about this place is having the main square a few steps away. I wouldn't recommend this place, you can find similar or better places for the same price around Tarapoto, they're just not in Trip...

This is my first time in Tarapoto, Perú. When my dad and I came we first went to an other hotel, which was a disaster. Unlike that hotel, this one doesn't have cockroaches nor ants climbing on the walls or in the shower. The rooms are clean, the fan is working and the TV as well. Also if you have a problem of some sort the personnel doesn't hesistate to help.||||If you're here at the end of the weekend you can pre-reserve for karaoke as well.||Here, they really want you to feel comfortable and safe.||||Also, it's really close to the main square and the market, so you can get to see every side of it. If you ask them, they can also recommend good...
