From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with genuine warmth and hospitality that instantly made us feel at home. Our host, Wilson went above and beyond. He shared his culture and heritage with such passion that it turned our stay into a deeply enriching experience.

The meal provided was absolutely perfect : light, delicious, and tailored beautifully to suit European tastes without losing its local authenticity.

One of the highlights was the private tour our host gave us. Visiting the Uros community was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. He explained in detail how the floating islands are constructed and shared the fascinating history behind them. It was eye-opening, educational, and respectful of the people and their traditions.

The surroundings of the lodge are simply breathtaking. Peaceful waters, expansive skies, and a sense of serenity you can’t find anywhere else. It’s a perfect blend of nature, culture, and heartfelt hospitality.

It has been a wonderful experience to stay on a floating island with Wilson and his family. They were welcoming from the moment we arrived. The lodge is unique and of course you should not expect luxury since you are on a lake, but there is everything one needs and the setting is spectacular. The communication with Wilson was great all the time. He arranged a pick up, although we arrived late. Even the dinner was waiting for us. Lisbeth makes deliciois dishes in her island kitchen, it is unbelievable. Wilson took is on a tour of the Uros islands and arranged a tour to Taquile. Everything went smoothly. Wilson was the name of our host. He is fantastic. My dad and I stayed there for two nights.

Here are the highlights A. Wilson provides a wonderful explanation of the Uros isles and of his people. He took us on a tour of the isles on our first day.

B. The room is spacious and filled with many cultural artifacts!

C. He allowed us to use his kayak to explore the other isles.

D. He booked us a tour of Tequile Island!

E. You have the option of buying breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I highly recommend it because his wife is an amazing cook!
