We arrived in Puno in the evening! One of the hosts was already waiting for us at the dock and safely transported us to the location. We got there in the night and it was pretty cold but he even warmed up the boat for us. The lodge is magnificent and the food is outstanding✨ After breakfast we went to visit Uros with its local life and culture. We truly appreciated all their effort to make us fell wonderful during our stay, their effort to provide us amazing meals and everything we needed. They are a very nice family, so kind! Will defiantly recommend to everybody! They definitely made our vacation worth it! ❤️

Super cute accommodation The dinner each night was extremely delicious along with the breakfast Communication via WhatsApp was really convenient as well as the support with the organization of tours They have been really kind and provided us with additional hot water bottle and tea when we arrived and the other days during the cold nights The only negative thing was that there was no hot water in the shower available

We stayed in the all-glass dome (the first of three domes) and had a fantastic experience.

Pickup and Check-in: Despite some miscommunication through WhatsApp due to a language barrier, the pickup was on time and smooth. The boat ride to the dome took about 20 minutes.

Lunch: Since we arrived at the lodge before lunch, Renzo was very accommodating and took us to a restaurant in the Uros community where we had the best grilled fish ever.

Uros Community Tour: Renzo stayed with us throughout the Uros community tour, showing us a small museum of the Uros history, how the floating island was built, and how to cook on the island. We really wanted to ride the traditional boats, and even though Renzo doesn't have those at his lodge, he was very accommodating, calling around until he secured one for us. We also tried traditional Uros clothes at the Uros community.

Dinner: We had dinner in our dome, which included soup, a main course, and dessert for 30 soles—a very reasonable price.

The Dome: The dome we stayed in was comfortable, spacious, and stylish. The only caveat was that it was really cold at night. Plenty of blankets were provided, so the bed was warm enough, and a propane heater ran throughout the night. However, with temperatures dropping to -4 degrees on the night we stayed there, the heater had minimal effect. Hot water was slow to come, but I believe this applies to other lodges as well. The night sky was a great highlight for us; we've never seen so many stars.

Breakfast: Breakfast included eggs, baked goods, juice, cheese, and ham. It was plentiful, more than enough to feed three people.

Check-out: Check-out was very smooth. The lodge accepts credit cards, and Renzo can help you get a taxi at the port in case you need one.

Overall: We can't recommend Renzo and his lodge enough. It was a great highlight of our trip to Peru, and we look forward to coming back...

Reserved this place 3 months in advance and sorted out price, method of payment etc. Coming upon the check-in date, I touched base with the lodge to confirm everything. He tells me everything is set. Host asked that we let him know 20 mins before arrival. Ok, I text him as our train pulls into Puno station to let him know we are closeby. He responds, just let me know when you are 20 mins away. ??? The station is ten min away from the dock. I told him we will be there in less than 20 min. So, we tell him meet us now, and take a taxi to the dock. No response.

Well, this is what I was afraid of. We arrive to a shady pitch black dock with not one light about and two young children with us, and the guy isn't there with the boat. I call him, but no answer. The taxi offload our luggage and is about to leave, but we ask that they stick around until the boat comes. We call the guy again and he picks up but sounds like he's sleeping or something shady. He said he's coming, but he isn't sure if we will wanted to stay there, or some nonsense story. I told him this is not how you treat visitors that are coming to your place to stay- if you know the dock is dark and desolate, you should be there couple mins early to make sure your guests can transfer safely. Once I saw this is how he operates, I left right away with the taxi and ended up staying at the Sonesta down the street. What a shame, but hopefully this guy can learn from our bad experience and improve for other guests...
