Florida del Inca Hotel — Hotel in Wanchaq

In March 2017 I stayed here. I was very pleased. It was clean quiet and staff was amazing. I was picked up at airport and driven back to airport. Pick up was great, time there was good (no other people were staying in hotel when I was there) when I needed to go back to airport I could not find owner to drive me. I waited 35 minutes for him to get back and I was worried id be late for my flight. But overall I was pleased...because he made it so easy I decided last year to rebook with him.||Last August I booked for me and a friend. I emailed several times to confirm prior to leaving. No response most of the time. I did get an email telling me not to worry that it was all fine. We arrive just prior to 6 am in Cusco and no one was there to pick us up. It was cold, we were on a 19 hr flight, we had no wifi at airport. We waited almost an hr and a half (in case he was running late or messed up the time) We ended up getting a taxi to a hotel I snaped a photo of. The taxi driver ripped us off and it took us 2 hours maybe to book where we were not prior booked in for a room. || I would not recommend staying here unless you make sure you are not relying on them for anything. ||It was clean, quiet, wifi was good and staff was good. It is not close to city center. Water is cold( which in not unusual for outside city center) I stayed other places for less money or same and got better value. I would never stay in a place that left me in another country alone and never even emailed me to tell me they were not picking me up. Very...

Initially, my reason for booking this hotel was its close proximity to the airport. Once I made the reservation, I emailed the hotel and asked if I could possibly store/leave my bag at the hotel for 3 days before my stay; I was going to Machu Picchu for a few days and wanted to lighten my load. To my surprise, the owner, Efrain was not only remarkably responsive, but said "no problem". With my schedule, arriving on the train from Machu Picchu in the evening and taking a taxi from Poroy and arriving about 9:30 pm and then leaving the next morning to catch a flight at 6 am, I was disappointed I wasn't staying for a longer amount of time. The room was very large, the bed very comfortable, and everything about the room and hotel was nice and in good working order; the hot shower at 3:45 am was especially wonderful! Additionally, when it was time to go to the airport, Efrain called a taxi and paid the taxi to take me to the airport; I tried to pay him, and he said no, that it was included in the price of the room... I was blown away, as the price was exceptionally reasonable, especially with the storage of my luggage and free ride to the airport. If I have reason to be in Cusco in the future, I would definitely stay at this hotel. Oh, and additionally, the hotel was extremely secure and even had an elevator... which I had not experienced at any other hotel I stayed at on my trip to Peru and Ecuador. Thank...
