So l booked my trip to Peru 2 days before I left and I learned you have to book months in advance. So I decided to book this tour and it was the best decision. They took care of all the transportation needs and hotel in Aguas Calientes (better than I thought with a nice view of the river and mountainside). The tour was a smaller group for the first day which I liked. We saw the animal area and learned about the different types and how to spot real Alpaca products, Sacred Valley, small shops, and Ollantaytambo. Luis was an amazing tour guide who was personable and very knowledgeable of the area. He was also very patient with all my questions and our groups yearning to spend more time shopping lol. The drivers, Juan + Roman, also kept us safe and on time. For Machupicchu, I really enjoyed it. I learned about the different routes and I was glad to have got the nice iconic view included in my tour. I ended up in a tour of 10 people and we got stunning views to take photos/ information of the Incas/ area. The tour guide was also good. I also took the train with the views and they didn’t disappoint. The energy of the workers from the acting to the run ways. The only thing I’d change different is maybe spending a bit more time in Ollantaytambo, but that could’ve been the increased amount of time our group had at shops.

We did the two day Machu Picchu by train trip. Gary was the absolute BEST local guide ever and made our experience so special. He is from the cusco area and spoke so much about the history of Machu Picchu. He always made sure we were having the best time and understood everything. My partner loved history and geography and had the best time. You can tell Gary is super proud of his heritage. 10/10 for Gary. The owner, Fredi is also super nice and quick to answer what’s app. About the actual tour: we saw a lot in two days. There were only 4 of us in a private van. The train ride to Machu Picchu was cool and the hotel was great. The only thing that really turned me off was when we made two stops on day one: one to the jewelry store where it felt super set up and we were pressured to buy items (seriously there were staff blocking the exit) and another baby alpaca farm (the actual farm was so nice but in the shop behind, I have never felt so followed and pressure to buy things - seriously there was one staff member who followed each person like a hawk and asking every minute to buy something. Huge huge turn off)

From the very beginning, this tour was a disaster.

Ahead of the trip, I specifically asked about packing requirements and was told a backpack and carry-on were fine. However, just two days before—while already in Peru—I was informed that only a small backpack was allowed on the train.

As a result:

• I had to purchase an expensive backpack at the airport. • I had to buy a raincoat last-minute because I was never advised to bring one (unlike travelers on other tours).

On the day of the tour:

• The guide was an hour late, and no one bothered to inform us. We were left waiting with zero communication. • I was given a different ticket than what had been previously confirmed by Fredi. This was incredibly disappointing, and he showed no concern about the mix-up.

During the tour:

• The guide, while friendly, provided zero information about Machu Picchu. Questions were deflected with irrelevant stories about his personal life, including his artifact collection, past clients, dogs, children, travel experiences, and even what he does with tips. • The trip was advertised as including both the Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu, yet we never visited the Sacred Valley!

This was, without question, the worst tour I’ve ever experienced.

When I raised these issues with Fredi, his response was dismissive and unprofessional. He offered no apologies, no accountability, and made no effort to address my concerns. Instead, he made excuses about “forgetting to mention things,” leaving me to bear the consequences of his negligence. It felt like a pure money grab with no regard for customer satisfaction.

Do not trust this company. They lack accountability and professionalism. Avoid at all costs.

UPDATE: I initially requested a refund through the booking platform, but it was rejected. After multiple attempts and explaining the situation repeatedly, I sent screenshots of what I booked (which clearly included the Sacred Valley). Only then did they agree to a partial refund. Following this, they asked me to remove my reviews.

I refused, as this is an accurate reflection of my experience. I have updated this review to note that I received a partial refund—though only after persistent effort on my part. The overall experience remains incredibly...

Our trip to Machu Pitchu was fun and delightful. It was my first time visiting the amazing hidden city of the Inca civilization in Peru. Food, cleanliness and accommodations were all good and satisfactory. As for the buffet mentioned in other posts. I cook for a profession and I was indifferent with this part of the tour. But it was necessary stop and the restaurant was very clean. We made a special stop and shared Cuy and it was delightful. The best part of all was our Tour guide Gary Nelson. Gary is originally from Cusco and is an Encyclopedia when it comes to the history of the Inca civilization and All things peru! He was with us the entire trip from the sacred Valley to Machu Picchu. He was able to provided amazing facts in detail every step of the way. He has a great sense of humor and is very polite making sure we were comfortable and safe. Gary was an expert at avoiding large crowds providing us with a sense of exclusivity. (expect a lot of people all year round). I didn’t know what to expect from this trip. But I walked away very happy with everything I encountered and with all the knowledge I gained from Gary. Thank you Gary for making our Machu Picchu trip one...
