I occupied Room 217. The rate is 780 Pesos a night. (On the weekend of the Masskara Festival, the rate goes up to 1000 Pesos a night). It is located at the other end of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex. This is my second time here. There is a cafe at the back side serving food that tastes about OK.||||Much has changed in Goldenfield. The bustle is gone. The Casino Filipino Hotel has moved out and much of the businesses here have gone to a downturn. However, business in MO2 Days Inn is still doing good because of the low rates and good value.||||The room has adequate air conditioning. The A/C is an old but still efficient National Eco Series unit. The hot water takes about 3 minutes to heat up. There is a wall between the shower room and the toilet. That means the shower room is separate from the toilet room. Although I find it strange that the towel rack is at the toilet room. The door handle of the shower room doubles as an improvised towel hanger.||||The TV is a 21" Kolin CRT TV with a Sky Cable digital cable box with the regular package. CNN, HBO, Star Movies, the usual. The service is good. Not fantastic but good.||||There are only two floors, so expect no elevator. The room key chain also serves as the power source. There is no closet, but there is a hat/coat hanger that sort of serves the purpose. There is also a useful luggage table. Parking is adequate. Wi-Fi is free and generally good all over the place. It was in and out on the first day but from the first night, wi-fi is smooth sailing and consistent.||||The place is not in the downtown area but is in a generally quiet area of a commercial complex. There are plenty of public transport such as jeepney shuttles or taxis. So getting to malls and the downtown area is not so...
Read moreI was booked on a matrimonial room. Not just the bed, but the entire room’s big. Bathroom’s a bit spacious, too - two single beds can fit in and you still have enough space to walk hassle-free. Coffee table and working desk were both very useful, as well as the phone. TV’s outdated, but functioning well. and no channel guide. Only one power outlet – that brought a little hassle on my part. Staff’s behaviour – attentive to our needs, but was not able to feel extra warm-welcoming attitude. Food was average.||||On location – it’s inside a compound that’s along the highway, but it will also require you to walk for a few minutes (normal pace). Bring umbrella if you dislike walking under the sun. By the way, talking ambience.||||It's quiet - you can have good night sleep. Wifi and table layout - you can work comfortably. Only the room -...
Read moreWe had a 2-night stay in MO2 Days Inn for the Masskara Festival in Bacolod last October. We got a standard room with two single beds. We stayed during the peak season and paid a higher rate of P1000 a night.||||Food: serves American and Filipino breakfast at a fair rate; tastes okay||Location: situated in Goldenfields Commercial Complex which is about 15 minutes drive from the city center; fare= almost P100 from SM Mall||Cleanliness: excellent, as expected||Staff: friendly and accommodating||||Conclusion: the hotel was great but I recommend staying in a good hotel that's closer to or in the...
