Booked the entire house at an affordable 8k for a day, quite a steal since we're 16 all in all, maybe because it's off season. Forgot the name of the particular house but it got a very nice overlooking view of Baguio city on one side, and greens on the other side, and an ample parking space at the front. I like the house's wood furniture and interior, gives me a homey Baguio feel. House is clean and spacious, hence fresh air circulates. Clean linens, complete utensils and kitchen appliances. We got 5 rooms but this house can accommodate maybe 20 or more since the 2nd/attic floor is so spacious you can just place mats on the floor as sleeping area, aside from the rooms. Blankets and towels are provided, also toilet papers and small bath soaps. || Two small toilets and baths, strong water with heater. Staffs are nice and accommodating. Location is very good, away from the noise of the city but near the tourist spots. There are stores nearby so no problem with the necessities. Taxis also abound in the area. What I like most in this place is that there's a fireplace, you just have to inform the staff if you want to use it, and there's a space infront if you want to have a barbeque night. There's only one negative thing for me: refrain from using the cemented stairs when going at the houses at the top, the stairs are dirty, maybe because of the unfinished new building. Use instead the short uphill road leading to the houses. Overall, we got a very good stay in this place, at a very affordable price. And oh, we asked for cuttings of money plants that adorned the porch and they willingly...
Read moreI had to choose this place because it was peak season and the hotels are fully-booked. ||Pros:|- Stunning view at night when the houses are no longer visible|- Helpful staff, albeit unprofessional in grooming and service ||Cons:|- Street perched on the dangerous side of the road. Climb a very steep, uphill blind curve going right, then sharp left to reach the place. I dreaded each time we had to leave and come back to the house.|- Noisy neighborhood. Children screaming and people chattering loudly from 6am onwards|- Zero privacy. If you're looking for a relaxing stay, then stay elsewhere. You could hear your neighbors chattering like they own the entire place. Too inconsiderate to even think that they talk too loud at 10pm and still bothering other guests. The bathroom sits in front of the other room's living area and you can't even lock the window.|- A sour moldy stench lingers in the air and even the bedding is musty|- No restaurant on site or nearby. Just a store selling instant noodles. You'll starve if you don't bring your own food.|- Poor ventilation. You could smell from your own bedroom what the other rooms are cooking. |- Far from the city's main attractions||Too expensive for a hotel price....
Read moreTiptop...to begin with...is obviously located atop one of the higher areas of Baguio where one would find some peace and quiet. The rooms are good for travellers by the number --- great for 7 or more. They have a view deck area which has a very nice view at night and when you wake up in the morning --- feels like you would want to stay there for awhile. Although lacks a fully equipped accommodation like in hotels, what it lacks is compensated for by the very accommodating couple who would bend over backwards to please their guests --- noteworthy to mention Ms. Lilia, one of the owners, and Ms. Jen (or Jean), her assistant. They have rooms for big or small groups --- even people with disabilities can be accommodated in certain rooms. No canteen/resto but the rooms have basic facilities for cooking and dining. You need to bring your own toiletries/towels though. Then again...for the price? Why not! They have a lot of choices of places to stay at very affordable prices ---- even a condo. As mentioned, the added bonus you get would be the very accommodating owners --- from replying to e-mails to...
