We visited Mines View Park in Baguio and it was definitely worth the stop. The highlight is the viewing deck where you get to see a wide, scenic view of the mountains and valleys. It was a bit foggy when we went, but the cool air and peaceful vibe made it enjoyable. There are plenty of souvenir shops around selling local crafts, food, and plants. It can get crowded, especially during peak hours, so mornings or weekdays are probably the best time to visit. Parking is also a bit limited, so patience is needed. What I liked most was the atmosphere. Even though it’s busy, it still feels like a classic Baguio destination that’s part of the experience. The photo opportunities with the view, traditional attire rentals, and even the dogs and horses for pictures add to the charm. Overall rating: 4/5. A must visit for the view and the Baguio experience.

Classic spot to visit… nature landscape view over a high mountain rock with cool photo shots (as the city is less scenic nature as the decades pass). Moreover, it gets too crowded. A lot of small businesses stalls or shops for pasalubong foods, delicacies, plants, native products, and a ton of souvenirs. One can rent out Igorot wardrobe or sit on a decorated horse / pony, and get authentic photos… though limited in location as it is not allowed to go to the prime spot mentioned above wearing said costume. Getting inside has relatively very cheap entrance fee.

Visiting Mines View Observation Deck is a must for anyone traveling to Baguio. The breathtaking views and the opportunity to engage with the local culture are definite highlights. However, the crowds and pushy vendors can be a downside, so it's best to go early in the day to enjoy a more peaceful experience.

Pros:

Scenic Views: The main highlight of Mines View Observation Deck is, of course, the stunning panoramic view of the mining town of Itogon and the surrounding Cordillera mountains. The sight of the mining town nestled amidst the mountains is truly captivating and provides ample photo opportunities.

Cultural Experience: Mines View is a great place to immerse yourself in the local culture. You can rent traditional Cordillera attire and have your photos taken in them, which adds a unique cultural dimension to your visit.

Souvenir Shopping: The adjacent souvenir shops offer a wide variety of locally made handicrafts, jewelry, and other souvenirs. It's a good place to pick up gifts or keepsakes to remember your trip by.

Food Options: There are stalls selling local snacks and refreshments, allowing you to enjoy some refreshments while taking in the view.

Cons:

Crowded and Commercialized: Mines View Observation Deck can get extremely crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. The commercialization of the area can sometimes detract from the natural beauty of the place.

Pushy Vendors: While the souvenir shops offer a diverse range of products, some vendors can be quite persistent and pushy, which can be off-putting for visitors who prefer a more relaxed shopping experience.

Limited Parking: Finding parking nearby can be a challenge, especially during busy times, which can be frustrating for those traveling by car.

Limited Amenities: The observation deck lacks modern amenities, such as restroom facilities, so visitors should plan...

I recently visited the Mines View Observation Deck in Baguio City and was absolutely captivated by the stunning panoramic views it offered. Perched atop a hill, the observation deck provided an unparalleled vantage point to take in the breathtaking beauty of the surrounding landscape.

The sight of the sprawling gold and copper mines, nestled amidst lush greenery, was a sight to behold. The crisp mountain air added to the experience, making it feel like a true escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. As I gazed out across the horizon, I couldn't help but feel a sense of awe and tranquility.

The observation deck itself was well-maintained and had a charming rustic charm. The souvenir shops lined along the pathways added a touch of local flair, offering a variety of unique handicrafts and souvenirs. The staff were friendly and eager to share information about the history and significance of the mines in the area.

One highlight of the visit was the opportunity to don traditional Cordilleran attire and pose for photos with friendly locals. It was a fun and memorable experience that added a personal touch to my time at Mines View.

However, it's important to note that the observation deck can get quite crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. This can slightly diminish the overall serenity of the place. To fully enjoy the tranquility and avoid the crowds, I recommend visiting during early morning or late afternoon.

In conclusion, Mines View Observation Deck is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Baguio City. The stunning views, cultural experiences, and overall charm of the place make it a memorable and enriching experience. Whether you're a nature lover, a history enthusiast, or simply seeking a peaceful retreat, Mines View Observation Deck has something...
