Grand City Hotel — Hotel in Cagayan de Oro

Place was great, WiFi was fast, but not all rooms have a great view of the city. Was in room 410 and the only thing I had was a tiny window that saw nothing but mostly roofs from smaller buildings around it.

In terms of other perks, the place is right dab smack in the center of Divisoria so you have a lot of options for food and malls that are just a stone's throw away. The rooms, while a bit dated, are well maintained so you don't notice that right away unless you're really discerning.

Only reason why I gave it 4 stars was because of how the staff are during the wee hours of the morning. I'm a nocturnal kind of person and I work nights so looking for food at 2am in the morning is normal for me. 3 of the 4 nights the person at the front desk was napping while the security guard was no better. This is my hometown and while I trust that nobody would do any harm to the hotel's residence or staff, it would put me at ease if when I leave my room what I see is an attentive concierge rather than a napping one.

Premises: It is within the heart of the CDO plaza and is near to a couple of establishments such as fastfood chains, dry market, banks, etc. The entrance is always guarded making you feel safer||||Place: Although this hotel is a bit old, the check-in and check-out processes were swift (less than 10 minutes), the rooms that I've tried needs general housekeeping from vertical to horizontal surfaces). P1080|Overnight stayed with 1 infant and toddler.|we had the superior room (Room #412) our first room was extremely dim, which was not friendly to kids. Don't have WiFi signal and telephone doesn't have dial tone, we tried the basic trouble shooting but the wirings was very dusty.
