My mom and I stayed here for a night for a medical checkup. We had the deluxe twin room. Their rates includes a complimentary breakfast. However, since we are on a fast for a specific laboratory to be performed early morning, we opted out the breakfast by booking online.
The location is good. Near to a pharmacy, bank, lots of food chains and even a 24/7 convenience store.
The atmosphere is good. They have brewing coffee and a water refilling station.
Our room is clean. It is small but practical. No unnecessary furniture. Just the stuff that you will be using, a table, chair, beds, side table, tv, and an open cabinet for your bags. They have no telephones. The receptionist will be reaching out to you via mobile numbers, vice versa.
Our room doesn't have a good view, we can only see the wall of the other building so we kept that close. Air-conditioning is working well — i mean too well that we kept it turned off cause it is so cold. The lightings are simple. No different modes or shades. As someone who can't sleep with all lights turned off we left the lights near the door turned on but it was still so bright. So i think it would have been better to have different modes or levels of the lights.
Amenities includes a dental kit, and hotel slippers! The slippers were a huge point for me since i have stayed in some fancy hotels and they don't have that ready in the room and i have to ask for it or pay another dime for it.
The body wash, shampoo and handsoap are all in huge bottles. I was worried at first cause some guests might uncap and put some weird or dangerous stuff in it. However upon closer inspection, i saw that the bottles are screwed in the wall. So guests could not uncap it, only staff can do it. That was a brilliant move so i was fine to use it.
My only bad take for this is that the shower is not hot at all. Or that's the case for our room. Reason why we are freezing and didn't use the air conditioning at all.
Just note that they do not have any elevators so if you have heavy luggage and do not want to carry them, then do not stay here.
Overall, it is good. If they maintained the cleanliness and vibe and fixed the shower, i would...
Read moreIt has been a while since I paid a visit to Cagayan de Oro City. During this trip, I booked a room at Casa Crystalla via the TravelBook app as they had better rates compared to other apps. Aside from the price point that won me over with the TravelBook app, I liked how it did not require me to use a credit card but there was also a no cancellation fee at the on set should one change his/her mind (still read the fine print regardless, dont just take my word for it).||This property is right smack at the heart of the city. You can practically walk to nearby restaurants, parks and stores that sell treats that Cagayan de Oro City is famous for. I rate this property 5 out of 5 in terms of LOCATION.||Now we go the staff, the staff were very friendly and accommodating to my requests. These were very simple in nature. I liked how they were very ok with me leaving my luggage with them for safekeeping when I got there too early for check in and when I had to check out (my trip back to Cebu was still at 8pm local that time). They also were proactive in extending my stay until 5pm local for half the price. This one I politely declined since I was busy catching up with family that day. I rate this property 5 out of 5 in terms of STAFF.||With regard to the actual physical aspect of the property, this is where the pictures online were way better looking than the actual room that I got. It was clean for starters but looked old. The pictures online looked really nice, made me think that they renovated. The towels they had were also very thin. There were also wifi access points on each floor but were not operational. There is wifi at the lobby if you really need it. I rate this property 2 out of 5 in terms of FACILITIES.||Overall, I give this Casa Crystalla a 3 out of 5 rating. I was willing to look at the other direction with how the facilities did not live up to what I saw online since they made up for it with their price point and customer service. From someone who also works in a customer business, please upgrade your facilities but dont forget to not lose your shine by being consistent with your great...
Read moreOur experience at Bridge Express Hotel was absolutely unacceptable. We booked our stay from 28/September to 01/October but we had to cut it short and decided to leave the hotel. From start to finish, it was a nightmare. The staff member, Winshie, was not only unhelpful but also rude and dismissive. Despite making it very clear upon booking that I was traveling with my 75-year-old mother, who suffers from chronic rheumatoid arthritis, they still placed us on the third floor of a building with no elevators. Watching my mom struggle up and down those stairs was heartbreaking and completely avoidable.
Even after we politely requested to be moved to a lower floor and explained our situation, our concerns were completely ignored. It’s shocking how little regard the staff have for guests’ well-being or basic comfort. The reception showed no kindness or empathy, especially toward my elderly mother—an absolute disgrace for anyone working in hospitality.
On top of that, the parking situation was terrible, and the staff were utterly inattentive to any guest needs. This hotel has no sense of customer service whatsoever.
Do not waste your money or time staying here. The service is appalling, the staff lack professionalism, and the overall experience was beyond...
