The first goes through the history of Mindanao with an emphasis on the Spain's and America's arrival and the revolt with local folk heroes. The second hall is devoted to the anthropology of Mindanao. It is fascinating to see how the different tribes made a living and dressed. Definitely worth spending time for anyone who is fascinated by the rich history and culture of Mindanao. Read more5mins hassle to buy ticket to the museum. It is acceptable, but can be more efficient if they wanted to. All staffs that I encountered are friendly and accomodative.
Museum has decent amount of collections and most are well kept/preserved. The description and narrative are lacking and when in some occasions quite thorough, its outdated.
One in particular, quite disturbing: an apologetic letter for Tadtad vigilante group, if you don't want to call 'em terrorist, written by the head curator of the museum itself. I'm not sure how the Moro n other Filipino muslims would feel reading...
