There’s nothing technically wrong with the place. It’s just your average hotel. It’s near the town center. Just one trike ride and you’ll get there. My first impression of the room is it’s dark. I mean i love natural light. But there isn’t enough sunlight from our room. The room size isn’t really small. The queen sized bed is there, side tables, writing desk, TV. They all fit. Walking space is just enough if there are two if you occupying the room. More than that and it’ll become cramped. Comfort room is okay. It’s not your modern type of neat and bright hotel. But it’s good enough for sleep. ||They have free breakfast. It isn’t spectacular. It’s plated with small portions of food. It doesn’t even taste that good. But it’s free so all is well. ||We were staying at the fifth floor. Near the corner of the building. And what we noticed was that there were a lot of mess at the hall. Housekeeping carts with used sheets. We stayed there for days and it’s always like that.||What made us laugh was the elevator. I mean it’s too over the top. Their elevator is just modern and highly secured! Meaning your key card’s only access is the floor of your room and the restaurant floor. You tap the key card every time you board the lift. You get the point. We were thinking, for a hotel like this, a highly-secured elevator isn’t necessary. But at least they have an upside right? They must’ve invested more on the lift than the rooms and the food. ||I might stay here again for a business trip. But for...
Read moreI used to stay at Marianne Suites for almost 2 years. I even considered this as my second home whenever I'm at CDO. And now they have a good spread of buffet breakfast. But lately during my stay, I'm getting disappointed. Their payment method through card is most of the time not functioning, wherein this is important to me because i don't used to bring cash during travels. Internet connection also is very unstable or almost not available. Hot shower also is not functioning. But the most important thing that made me disappointed is the new staffs/receptionists (i considered them new because it is my first time to see her there), I'm so proud before telling that Marianne Suites have one of the best when it comes in customer service but now i don't think so. There is one instance wherein i need to transfer room, and then the courteous receptionist told me that i'll just pack my things and they will be the one who will transfer it, and then after a while i asked the other receptionist, "mam nalipat na po gamit ko?" she answered with a boastful and smirking face, "Ai kami po pala maglilipat?", I answered "Akala ko po kayo kasi tinanong ako ng kasama nyo if naempake ko na and sila na bahala", and she answered again with smirking face "Ai ewan ko...

Immediately notice allot of cosmetic issues.||||1. Some lights are busted.||2. Broken tile pieces at the bathroom.||3. Stained mirrors||4. Obviously uncleaned bathroom glass partitions.||5. No foot towels||6. Water is yellowish you think it was Kool-Aid and it smell rusty too.||7. NO INTERNET||8. NO HOT SHOWER||||When confronted over these issues, the office desk officer explained they have some issued with their internet service provider and that their water is pumped directly from the deep well.||||My colleague ask them if the are sure that this is the accommodation reserved for us. To which they surely responded YES.||||Around 9 PM, when we are fast asleep, a hotel worker started knocking on our doors to relocate us to a better room because....(get this)..they made a mistake with the booking.||||I transferred but my colleague did not because he is too tired to transfer.||||There are other better hotels in CDO but...
