Lovely bar, friendly service and amazing food & drinks!

Kuan bar & restaurant is located right on Panangsama really close to the walking street & beach, but conviniently located away from the hustle and bustle of main street so you can have a drink in a relaxed atmosphere without hearing the noisy tuktuks driving by. The space is huge with lots of tableside seating as well as bar-seating, choice is yours. Some nights they offer live music with really good local artists, everyone sings along and has an amazing time!

Service: Attentive, friendly, and wonderful staff who are always willing to give you recommendations for food & drinks and will always chat to you and make sure you have a lovely time. Owners are superfriendly as well and this social atmosphere rubs off on the guests, as you will meet nice people from all corners of the world to talk to.

Food: Lots of different menu options for a reasonable price, my favorite was the ribs- melt in your mouth tender, one of the best I´ve ever head! Chicken red curry was yummy also! Food is generously proportioned and really nicely prepared. They also offer themed dinners, such as christmas dinners, Valentines day etc- great way to spend a special occasion or for the holidays!

Drinks: Many different drink options such as beer, cocktails, non-alcoholics and more! Super-affordable prices, I would say it´s the bar with the most affordable drinks in Panagsama beach. Great frozen margaritas, sometimes they have an "all-you-can-drink-deal"-can´t beat that! But even your casual rum&coke tastes absolutely amazing there.

Overall- a great place to hangout & I Cannot wait...

Food was mweh, just fine. But this review is not about the food, it is about the people: There were a few fat European man who didn’t like it that there was a little stray dog puppy laying in the corner so it had to be removed. The bartender chose to wipe the puppy out of the bar with a broom and a dustpan. The puppy was screaming for life and it’s mother was next to it screaming. The man put the puppy on the dustpan after several tries. Hurting it in the process and threw it on the streets.

I understand there is a stray dog problem, but man, show some human decency. Fat rich white people should not make these decisions just because they pay more. The whole bar except for those man didn’t like it. You shouldn’t spend a single peso...

Right across from where we stayed is this gem of restaurant and bar. Had an opportunity to talk with Michael, who is the owner. Great guy with excellent staff. Service is excellent. Very attentive and polite servers. Food is superb! We basically ate our breakfast, lunch, and dinner there. Variety of choices, substantial potion sizes (can be shared), delicious flavors, and the prices were fair . Definitely a place we would go to again and again. You really do need to try Kuan Bar.
