I recently had the pleasure of staying at Moalboal Tropics in Moalboal, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. This resort truly embodies the beauty of the Philippines and offers a memorable getaway.

Location (5/5): Moalboal Tropics is perfectly situated, offering breathtaking ocean views and easy access to the stunning beaches that Moalboal is known for. It's a tropical paradise that's not too far from the town's amenities.

Accommodation (5/5): The accommodations at Moalboal Tropics were comfortable, spacious, and impeccably clean. I stayed in a charming bungalow that felt like a home away from home. The attention to detail in the room's design and cleanliness was impressive.

Service (5/5): The staff at this resort went above and beyond to make my stay enjoyable. They were welcoming, attentive, and always ready to assist with a warm smile. Their dedication to guest satisfaction was evident throughout my stay.

Amenities and Facilities (4/5): The resort boasts an inviting pool, perfect for a refreshing dip after a day of exploring. There's also a restaurant that serves delicious local and international cuisine. My only suggestion would be to expand the range of activities and facilities available.

Dining (4/5): The on-site restaurant offered a diverse menu with tasty dishes. I particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood options. While the food was generally good, there's room for improvement in terms of variety.

Scenery and Surroundings (5/5): The resort's setting is simply stunning. The lush greenery and the crystal-clear waters of the nearby beaches create a picturesque backdrop that's perfect for relaxation and exploration.

Value for Money (4/5): Overall, I found the prices reasonable for the quality of the experience provided. However, some activities and services were on the pricier side, which is something to keep in mind when budgeting.

Conclusion: Moalboal Tropics Resort is a hidden gem in Moalboal. It's a place where you can unwind, connect with nature, and enjoy top-notch hospitality. I would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a tropical escape in the Philippines. My stay here was unforgettable, and I can't wait to return. Thank you, Moalboal Tropics, for an...

Will never book again! Our booking includes complimentary breakfast for three guests. We asked the front desk the schedule for the breakfast, they said 7am - 9am. Since said schedule does not coincide with our sardines run and snorkeling activity the next day, we pleaded if we could have our breakfast at an earlier time, they refused; rather they proposed to pack us some sandwiches/food. They said, the food will be ready before 6:30,our scheduled pick-up time for our activity, thus we agreed to their proposal. Then come next morning, we approached the receptionist to ask for our food, he said they’s still preparing it, and since our tour/activity guide was already there, we were left with no choice but to leave and have our breakfast after our activity. Our activity as tiring. I was so hungry, but unfortunately when we arrived at the hotel, we were served with three sandwiches ONLY. No water and all. That’s it! I even asked the woman from the reception area if we could still have another sandwich, she said she’ll ask her other crew members but she just left us hanging she never returned, we waited but no sandwich reached our table. Since we are thirsty, we asked for service water. They served three bottled water. We thought it was part of our complimentary breakfast. When we were about to check out, they gave us a bill charging us witg the three bottles of water. What duh? Of course we did not pay
good thing they did not insist acknowledging their mistake. But then, this was my worst hotel booking experience so far....

I stayed at Moalboal Tropics July 2025 for almost a week, the staff was good and hospitable, breakfast was the regular filipino breakfast which is plated and not buffet. At first i was impressed by their spacious room, BUT, on my second day at this place, I woke up with so much bed bug bites on my body, went to see the receptionist and told them of the situation and she told me that bed bugs has been an ongoing issue in their room, i asked to speak with a manager and he moved us to another room , they thoroughly check the new room and they bought me some cream for the itchiness of the bites and wash all of our clothes (needed to buy new clothes as we were worried that all of our stuff would have been infected), unfortunately, the other was the same, i had more bites in my body. I spoke with the same manager with the initials of M.S and asked for a full refund for the room that was infested, ( I didnt ask for a refund when it initially happened because they were helpful and was doing their best, only asked for a refund after having the same situation with the new room) he promised me a refund, i processed it through booking.com, but they decided to reject the claim. It is very disappointing and unprofessional of the manager and business not to own up with what was agreed upon. If you love your body, DO NOT STAY....

We stayed in what was classed as a superior room with a hotel view. Unfortunately, that room was directly next to the restaurant kitchen. This meant we couldn’t open the back window due to the smell and noise, as the window opens into the kitchen, the other window couldn’t be opened either. When we checked in, we weren’t informed—either in person or on the website—that there was no Wi-Fi or mobile data signal in the rooms. This made working or even contacting friends and family really difficult, and we would’ve booked elsewhere had we known in advance. Another major issue was the shower, which barely worked—water pressure was almost non-existent. On top of that, the common area and bar were located right outside our room, which meant we had to deal with loud noise late into the evening every night. On the positive side, the pool was brilliant—clean, well-maintained, and a real highlight of the stay. The hotel staff were also genuinely lovely: kind, friendly, and always willing to help. It’s just a shame the room experience didn’t match up, as the people and pool showed the potential this place could have with a few key improvements.

The hotel's location is good. Their swimming pool is well maintained. Staff were okay but nothing more. The room is quite old especially the bathroom. Rusty and not properly cleaned. We stayed for a week as a family. Bed was surprisingly good. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with their event last April 30. It was their summer party until 2am and music was horribly super loud and bad quality (speakers were not adapted to their location). Our windows were shaking and we were so scared that the ceiling was about to collapse. We complained to the reception but the management can't do anything. It was admissible. We could've accepted the music if it was good sound and not extremely loud. Besides, during our booking, we weren't told that there will be this kind of party. Another disappointment is the breakfast. We stayed for a week, and every morning, we ate the same thing! Egg, Rice and Corned beef. No sauce. No tomatoes or something. Very far from the reviews we read from google that there's a buffet, and the food was great. It didn't exist when we were there. No choice at all. I think the place also need renovation.

Traveling here to be a part of the sardine ritual experience. The property was somewhat entertaining to say the least regarding its decor. The food was average service was average. There was a little bit of entertainment with a band one evening and a special event for Valentine's Day. We even ended up being part of a karaoke experience which was quite entertaining and fun. Location is pretty good as it is a 12-minute walk down to the pier and the core of the downtown area. The property does need to maintain some of its infrastructure better My partner took a shower and the water nozzle broke completely off and spewed water for over 20 minutes while waiting for a maintenance staff to turn it off. That was kind of interesting. We met some great people at this property and enjoyed their company immensely. One of the best aspects is meeting wonderful people from all over the world.
