We were scammed and very disappointed with how the staff handled it. We stayed for 3 nights and booked through hostel world. On hostel world it said that towels were included with our accommodation. When we arrived it turned out that it costed 50 peso to rent 1 towel. We discussed with the staff at the hostel that their listing says it includes towels but said no we would need to rent towels. It was a large back and forth and we lost. We took screen shots because we figured they would change it and the next day it was changed. We told other hostel guests the situation and also complained to the staff, and again the staff would not accommodate us.
For the staff: imagine going to Jollibee and ordering a chicken sandwich and when you get it there's no chicken breast. You go to the person you ordered it and tell them that you are missing your chicken breast in the sandwich but they tell you that you have to pay extra for the chicken breast. There is no refunds you are stuck with the sandwich. Wouldn't you be disappointed with that? We were when you did that to us. My advice is too not be greedy and own up to what you advertise because in the end it is a scam. You did not accommodate what you advertised.
Other bad notes: the curtains are see thru on the bunks if you are over 6ft tall don't stay here the beds are way to short the door to get in and out was squeaky and disturbs everyone no luggage lockers only small personal item locker during the day the place gets hot due to the seacan being metal, the AC can't keep up, there needs to be 2 AC. -we have been traveling for 6 months across South East Asia and this one takes the winning prize for rudest staff. Very sad since we found Filipinos to be the nicest people out of everyone
The good: I would've rated it 5 stars actually if we didn't get scammed, I would recommend it to anyone under 6ft tall free water very clean, staff was always cleaning nice big area to hang up wet clothes shady and sunny spots to sit outside bathrooms are really good, the best we have seen nice big area inside to layout luggage
I understand it's just a towel and only 100 peso, It sucks getting scammed and the staff handled it poorly which is why this place is...
Read moreI was supposed to book 2 nights here. I had a bad experience during the payment my reservation fee. The amount was not of significant value but the stress the transaction gave me was too much.
The person I talked to, she called herself Eve was not very helpful. She had to give it to my face over and over that I made a mistake instead of being helpful. The conversation I had with her had a very assuming tone that I was a scam when I clearly asked for help. The exchange could have ended if she had advised that she's checking on her end and not stirring up the scene.
I did not push through with my booking. What a horrible experience.
Edit: The same person went on an gave unnecessary statements of the conversation. This clearly shows a big opportunity for them when it comes to handling customer concerns. I gave them back my money so they could invest in customer...
Read moreBrand new hostel! We were guests 21-30 for this new venture! The living quarters are from rehabbed shipping containers. They have good insulation for keeping the cold in and the noise from the next door bar (mostly) out.
The shared room is clean with neat bunk beds. Each mattress has a privacy curtain and it’s own power strip for charging devices. There are also a couple of communal outlets. There are three showers and three toilet closets accessed through a door and outdoor corridor. There’s a water cooler that gives hot and cold water.
There is a separate private suite with its own bathroom in a separate container. The suite is very spacious and absolutely lovely and my partner and I spent our anniversary there. It has a little table set and coffee/tea cart. Each side of the bed has a nightlight and two outlets.
The owner is very personal....
