From the moment I arrived at Lenox Hotel, I already felt taken care of — and that first impression lasted throughout my 3-day stay.
It was showering when I pulled into the parking area, and the guard on duty didn’t hesitate to assist me with parking. He even invited me to stay in the guardhouse while waiting for the rain to pass. That small gesture already set the tone: thoughtful and attentive.
At the main entrance, the doorman greeted me warmly and immediately took my luggage with ease. The front desk staff were kind, polite, and patient — answering my inquiries clearly without making me feel rushed.
The same doorman who brought my bags upstairs to the 3rd floor was not only helpful but also refreshingly friendly. We exchanged a few light jokes, and it didn’t feel like your usual stiff hotel check-in experience. I appreciated the short room briefing too — it saved me from second-guessing things later on.
The room was clean and well-kept. The air conditioning? Arctic-level. 😄 Not a complaint though — easily adjustable and perfect after a day of riding in the rain. A surprising detail I loved: the bathroom had a blow dryer, which was a lifesaver for me.
One thing I’d suggest improving is the slippery shower floor — it could use a more slip-resistant mat or surface, especially for guests coming in from the rain.
The hotel restaurant feels like a low-key fine dining spot. The menu has solid choices, but the wonton beef soup was exactly what I needed after a cold, rainy motorcycle ride — hearty and comforting.
I also want to commend their flexibility with room service breakfast — they graciously delivered it to my room all three mornings, which I deeply appreciated.
Before I left, that same parking lot guard went above and beyond — he helped me secure my bike, with all the bags and gear attached. That extra kindness is something I won’t forget.
Overall: Lenox Hotel felt like more than just a place to sleep — it was a safe, warm space where I felt genuinely looked after. It’s not just about facilities; it’s about people, and Lenox seems to have chosen theirs well. I’d absolutely...

My wife and I have been coming to the Lenox for a few years now whenever we are in town to visit family, and the experience has always been satisfactory. Truth is, it was the only game in town for travelers seeking accomodations more in line with your average “Western-style” hotel — most hotels in this locale are something more akin to something we call “motels” in the States. However, with the establishment of a handful of quaint, comfy boutique hotels and, most notably, the Monarch Hotel, the Lenox begins to pale in comparison. Sure, it’s only a three-star hotel, but it clearly aspires to be, at least in appearance, more than that, and in this aspiration it falls short. It’s in the small details: staff unprepared to receive you, a mirror with stains, a bedcover with stains, a rug that has seen better days, faulty water flow from a faucet, discolored water in the bath... at first glance the Lenox would appear to be something more than its three-star designation, but the experience is decidedly three-star — perhaps less so for someone not as forgiving.
2018: Four Stars
If you're used to Western standards of accommodation then this establishment is your best bet in town -- indeed, you're bound to spot more white people here than any other part of Dagupan for that very reason. Rooms are fairly modern and the staff appropriately obsequious. The only thing lacking is their in-house kitchen/restaurant, Café Feliz, whose selection and preparation is not in step with the image the hotel seeks to project. Bangus (the local specialty) and fresh fruit is regularly unavailable, and the food they do have often appears to be of the frozen meal variety. You're better off getting your meals at the Jollibee down the street -- and that's not a great indication. However, location is definitely its strongest point as it is within walking distance of multiple convenience/drug stores, banks, hospitals, and small cafes/restos. Plus, tricycle drivers hover in abundance around the easily accessible entrance so you'll never want for...
Read moreI recently stayed at the Lenox Hotel and, while there were some positive aspects, there were a few notable drawbacks that made the experience less than ideal.
First and foremost, the service was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made sure I had everything I needed, which made for a welcoming atmosphere. The location is also a major plus — it's incredibly convenient with shopping, dining, and attractions all within walking distance, making it easy to explore the area.
However, there were several issues that impacted my stay. The most significant was the low shower pressure, which made for an unsatisfying experience when it came to refreshing after a long day. Additionally, I experienced multiple brownouts during my stay, which was frustrating and inconvenient. These power interruptions made it hard to fully relax, especially when working or trying to rest.
Another downside was the lack of a fridge in the room. It would have been handy to have somewhere to store drinks or snacks, but unfortunately, that wasn’t an option. Lastly, considering the various negatives, I found the room rate to be not entirely justified. While the location and service were great, the overall experience didn’t feel worth the price.
In conclusion, while the Lenox Hotel excels in service and location, the lack of certain amenities, technical issues, and high rates may make it hard to justify staying here for those seeking more value for...
