HIGALA Resort — Hotel in Dauis

We directly felt ‘at home’, being welcomed very kindly by Peter, his wife, and their friendly dog, ‘Nero’ :-). ||The resort is brand new, and has not only spacious, comfortable rooms, but also a very nice swimming pool. As it’s really quite, it is the perfect place to relax. ||What we especially like about this resort is that it’s not too big. It helps creating a ‘home and cozy’ feeling. And therefore it’s also easy to connect with other guests and share experiences. ||Peter and his wife go above and beyond to make it their guests comfortable. Arranging pick up, scooters, advise on tours and trips, preparing wonderful breakfast etc.; you name it! Nothing is ‘too much to ask’. ||The resort is located near the beach and some wonderful restaurants. Higala Resort is an absolute gem in Panglao – peaceful, beautifully maintained, and run with so much love and care. The rooms are spotless, stylish, and have everything you need for a relaxing stay.

The real highlight, are the hosts: Peter and his wife Anna are simply amazing – warm, helpful, and always ready with great tips for your stay. You immediately feel at home. And of course, Nero the lovely dog adds even more charm to the place!

We also really appreciated the super convenient scooter rental directly through the hotel – the perfect way to explore the island on your own.

The pool area is great for relaxing, breakfast is tasty, and the overall vibe is calm and welcoming. You can really tell that everything is done with passion and care.

Higala Resort

One of the highlights of our trip in regards to accommodation. Peter and Ana are amazing people and their hospitality is top notch. Amazing breakfast, clean & tidy rooms, cozy surroundings and of course the loveliest dog Nero! Location is convenient too, but we recommend getting a scooter to zip around (which can be rented at the resort). This will make your life easier!

Peter gave us some great ideas/advice on where to go and what to see, on top of that, they organised us a tricycle to leave at 4am + made a delicious breakfast that morning as well! Absolute legends!

Overall, both Peter and Ana were really approachable and fun to talk to! I bet if we would’ve stayed there longer, we would’ve gotten to know them even better.
