La Pernela Hotel and Resort — Hotel in Dauis

Despite taking about 12 hours, door to door, from Kuala Lumpur, La Pernela made us feel very welcomed.  And quite literally too.  The property reminds me of a large residential beach home..something one of your rich uncle's used to have - tucked away, with generous gardens and an inviting pool. Not to mention, Ms. Marivelle (hope I spelt that right) was such a pleasant and accommodating host.  Throw in a few dogs (and cats) and serene ambiance, we really were dazzled. The room was of decent size and bathroom was tastefully rendered, not to mention spotlessly clean. Bedding was comfortable, though we had hoped the blanket was a little thicker.. owing to the cold air blasting from the conditioner. This isn't really a breach fronting property (due to a plot of vacant land between us) but there are two pleasant beaches not 5 minutes walk away.

Summary: We would have given La Pernela a 5 star rating, but docked off one on account of the questionable access road (?) and our own (dashed) expectation that it was...

I and my girlfriend. Had the most beautiful experience at this resort. We stayed 2 1/2 weeks at the resort. The ocean is across the street. An excellent bar next door. The resort itself is cozy, and an absolute gem for cleanliness, hospitality and ensuring you enjoy your stay.. |Both the management and the staff are top notch. I was so taken by the staff and the management for their care and help with the information of the area. I am saying that this experience is one of the best at a resort I've ever had. The joy of being in an small resort with pool and food services if needed was unbelievable. A swim in the ocean and then a relaxing float in the pool was the best anyone could as for. |I commend the staff and Maryville and Charles for making this part of our trip the best. I will be looking forward to our next trip, and yes i will stay there...
