The hotel is a bit pricey given its small room, incomplete amenities, rude staff and no wifi. The price can be justified since it is located in the heart of the city but still they can make up for it if they provided us with a wonderful experience during our stay considering that they are in the HOSPITALITY Industry.
The staff on the cafeteria was not accommodating and straight up rude. When we asked for a condiment for our complimentary breakfast, she only nodded and gave us a thumbs up for a confirmation without even looking at us, and it was rude for us given that kind of treatment. Mind you, she was like that for two days during our stay there when we went to their cafeteria to eat breakfast. She did not even greet us and smile.
On our first day, as me and my sister were heading to eat our breakfast, we experienced earthquake and we were on the stairs during that time. We saw how the hotel staff, ran out of the hotel without minding their customers’ safety. I was shocked since I know that in this industry they have to prioritize their customers’ safety and needs before themselves. Have they conducted any drill (fire and earthquake) to let their team know what to do in case of disasters.
I commend the receptionist during the day since she was very friendly, accommodating, smiling (genuine) and made us feel welcome. But the receptionist during the night was not accommodating.
IT FELT LIKE SOME OF THE PEOPLE/STAFF IN THIS HOTEL WAS NOT HAPPY WITH THEIR JOB. LIKE THEY WERE FORCED TO GET THIS JOB. I KNOW THAT WE ALL ARE GOING THROUGH SOMETHING BUT THEIR BEHAVIOR CANNOT JUSTIFY WHAT WE...

Read moreThe Blue velvet hotel has been a know hotel to me but had never tried it before until a friend of mine said that this hotel offers a three (3) hour short stay for freshen up for travellers or persons on the go and needs not a overnight accommodation. So, one time in the past week I was in downtown area and decided to give it a try. It was true indeed that they offer this short stay, a 12 hours stay and the usual daily rates. I only tried the 3 hours stay just to freshen up, sleep a bit and use the bath since it was heavily raining that time before I go home. The room was ok for me. It has a single bed, towel, tv, AC and a CR. The sheets were clean and was provided with soap and tissue. I did sleep after taking a hot shower and glad to say that the hotel is so peaceful and i was able to rest even for just 3 hours. So, it was worth the penny i paid (safety and comfort...
