I recently had the opportunity to dine at Tola and Huckleberry Restaurant. While the restaurant is small and may not be suitable for large events, the cozy atmosphere and excellent food more than make up for it.
The menu at Tola and Huckleberry is a delightful blend of Filipino and international cuisine, featuring a wide range of dishes that are both flavorful and creative. Each dish is expertly prepared and beautifully presented, and the quality of the ingredients is evident in every bite.
One of the best things about this restaurant is the cozy atmosphere, which is perfect for a romantic dinner or a small gathering with friends. The restaurant is tastefully decorated, with an intimate ambiance that makes you feel right at home.
The service at Tola and Huckleberry is also outstanding, with friendly and attentive staff who make you feel welcome from the moment you step inside. The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and can provide excellent recommendations, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, I would highly recommend Tola and Huckleberry Restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience. While the restaurant may be small, the quality of the food and the cozy atmosphere more than make up for it. Whether you are a foodie looking for your next culinary adventure or simply looking for a great meal in a cozy setting, Tola and Huckleberry is a must-visit destination for food...
Read moreI didnt give 5 stars cuz service is not there. Plus the sauce that comes with the taco's burned my mouth bigtime. I couldnt enjoy the rest of my meal. I had a vagal stimulation, runny nose and mucous cough due to the heat. There should have been a warning about the toxic hot sauce. I cant believe anyone would want that! Also my food was served hot but ate cold due to my girlfriends food not being served and my mouth recovery period from being burned.. I am trained by my 95 yo mother that you never eat until all have been served. As i said the service and service knowledge on general manners is lacking here at the Hucks. Plus thewaiters had a nice chuckel at my expense knowing the heat and hell I was going thru with now known hot suace. It was easy to decipher the conversation from across the room. Thefact they did nothing spoke volumes to me. Next time i will not tolerate ignorance and will state i want our food served...
Read moreWhen I walked into Huckleberry's Southern Kitchen and Bar and took in the decor and checked out the menu my first thought was it is a bit like TGI Friday but actually the food is a little better.
Given the high level of presentation of the food and the selection on the menu I at first thought that this place must be connected in some way with Claude's fine dining restaurant which is upstairs but the waitress assured me this is not the case. Excellent service from the staff by the way.
Huckleberry's is of course much less formal and more laid back than Claude's but this obviously suits the younger people who frequent this place, probably a venue for younger professional and managerial types who eat here before going out for the evening.
There is a large Parma ham on display which I have never seen before in Davao, plus a large selection of drinks at the bar.
The bottom line? Drop in here one evening, you will...
